I vaguely remember someone way up-thread predicting that Maya Rudolph would be the judge, so I wasn't surprised when she appeared. I was very pleased to see her though, and she was pretty much perfectly cast. One of the many criminally under-worked actors out there.

It's been on for like 40 years so yeah there's some peaks and troughs but I'd be surprised if you weren't familiar with a lot of comedians that made their name on SNL.

I've only just recently seen the opening episodes of season 4 of Brooklyn 99 where Maya Rudolph turns up, so for me it was just a bit 'oh, her again.' She was definitely good though, and I hope she hangs around for a bit longer.
