Portable Ops was kinda proto-Peace Walker but also bad, Acid was a fun SRPG/card game that confused most people expecting an MGS game including me.

peace walker is good but has the worst boss fights in the series. anytime a boss fight or "boss encounter" happened it was the worst. the last "real" boss was funny though.

Ac!d is a great series. Kind of the start of the modern deckbuilding genre (Chain of Memories was the same year). The first half of Ac!d is also an extended "what if Decoy Octopus played a larger role" scenario and it's great. I liked Portable Ops on release but Peace Walker just does it better except boss fights. The ultimate boss of POOPS is a man who warps reality with his voice, and you fight young Grey Fox which is quickly swept under the carpet by Peace walker.

Peace Walker actually has the best boss fights because they're modeled after monster Hunter while every other game in the series is you struggling to wrench the sneaking game controls into letting you fight a guy

Having to grind the bosses in order to get the parts to make a good enough metal gear to get the real ending in Peace Walker was lame as hell. Peacewalker and MGS5 are the best Metal Gear games, but MGS4 is the most Metal Gear game. For decent balance see MGS3 and 1.

 Man I wonder how much of the younger generation that hasn't played Mario 3 just got completely stumped on what to do here This chapter has been a ton of fun platforming wise compared to the hotel, but I'm at a point where the path diverges into like 8 different directions and there's no clear indicator of which one is the "main" path and I want to find all the side strawberries first before continuing. This chapter has a lot of very fast platforming which is a ton of fun though edit: Also does the thing you collect here do... anything? X-Com 2 is a crazy amount of fun and is super intense and stressful. I regret not buying this game when it first came out. I like that you don't know how badly your decisions might screw you over. Every choice needs to be a calculated risk and could potentially make the game harder for you.
