I made the mistake of using amazon's linux distro on an ec2 server instead of a real distro. Now I'm trying to manually install dependencies through rpmfind so I can have Jenkins run an android emulator on build jobs.

does that include android emulator instructions?

I don't need instructions, I need pulseaudio-libs which isn't their repo, and some of its dependencies and their dependencies aren't either.

you’ll probably waste less time if you nuke it and start again with a proper distribution

gdi libinput yes i'm very impressed that this multitouch touch pad is so precise that it can faithfully encode the bumpy movement of my fingers due to dynamic friction down to the tens of micrometers but as technically impressive as that sensitivity is it's not very conducive to me actually using my drat computer without getting motion sickness while scrolling so idk maybe add some filtering??? why did this update suddenly get pushed anyway, maybe this was an "improvement" to the kernel driver? fucks ake

Which distro should I be using for this server after I tear down the server with the amazon distro? I'm on free tier because I'm using this for a two-semester software engineering class, and I wont really need it after May.

use centos because it's stable, predictable, manageable and reproducible (not subject to the whims of nerds)
