So the question about Ratri I guess is does he consider himself "good" and that he's saving more lives in the long run if he creates horrible mutants that result in more meat per human and thus fewer lives being taken and that if the peace breaks even more people will be affected so it's an acceptable price or if he's just straight evil.

Oh yeah, smart humans are definitely their Wagyu beef. I was just trying to rack my brain for an example where we’ve tried to select for a trait in livestock and produced some weird looking results.
