So I have like 25 episodes of "The New Tom Green Show" taking up hard drive space so I figured I'd share. Anyone interested in these? First episode is Ludacris, Mike and Mark from American movie, and Seth Green. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRsUfOVWhnI

If you have the "Pyramid of Cardboard Boxes" musical number Tom did on the show, I haven't been able to find that for years other than a short clip on YouTube Still the funniest thing I've seen Tom do

I can check! Any idea who the guest was? I haven't really watched any of these. I also have a bunch of the old Rogers stuff he did which I don't think is available elsewhere. Harminoff fucked around with this message at 00:03 on Feb 24, 2018 |

I can’t imagine these will last long on Youtube. Viacom’s pretty hardcore about taking their content down. But thank you! I’ll check it out.

Colbert should start serving hard alcohol to his guests more regularly. Jennifer Lawrence after 4-5 generous shots of rum was quite entertaining.

She has a pretty entertaining personality in general, though. She was also just on Maron's WTF, it was also a good conversation.

Jimmy Kimmel Live originally had a fully functioning bar in the studio, but the network took it away after Jimmy and Adam Corolla got drunk and started throwing expensive things in a deep fryer during a cooking segment That was like...the 3rd week of the show, lol

Well I have heard rumors vaguely concerning it for a bit now I *think* so maybe that's why. But even Dick Van Dyke came out Dick Van Dancing last time. Wow, someone in the Late Show audience last night had a REALLY distinctive laugh. I think Colbert chuckled at it a few times.

Uuuugh...Trevor Noah spent a lot of the first segment tonight kissing Sarah Huckabee Sanders' rear end, because, I don't know, #feminism or some poo poo. I can't even hate-watch this show anymore.

If you’re looking for a cut and dry, yet funny leftist take on the news of the day, I’d probably recommend the podcast District Sentinel Radio over any of the big shows. One of the hosts used to sub in for Thom Hartmann!

There's a semi-active Daily Show thread. I guess it's also the de facto Jordan Klepper thread. But yeah, that skit about SHS flatlined.

Remember that time when Colbert wasn't absolutely crushing everything in the ratings? Like it definitely happened, but it seems so long ago. https://news.avclub.com/stephen-colbert-is-still-crushing-jimmy-fallon-in-the-r-1825336857

Even more impressive to me is that Kimmel is right behind Fallon. What late night show does the older demographic even watch anymore? Fallon is the softest on Trump but he spends half his shows having emjoi lipsync battles while riding hoverboards with Justin Timberlake.

Is your mom significantly younger* than your dad? If not, then she’d be a baby boomer super liberal I’m genuinely sorry to be all nitpicky, but I have to raise hackles against “baby boomer” becoming synonymous with “conservative fucker who is ruining it for the kids.” There are shittons of boomers who are progressive. Anyway, my own super-liberal, baby boomer mum, watches Colbert then Seth, every night. Yay for old people who aren’t awful! *Or older

IRQ posted:Super liberal by boomer standards doesn't mean poo poo though. It does though! This is a silly thing to say. What, you think there are no socialists in their 60s and 70s? pwn has a great point in that "baby boomer" has become synonymous with "old conservative - at best, a centrist!" and that isn't really fair. We're talking about an entire generation of people here, some of whom were the vanguard of the left in their own time and are still politically active today. Jeremy Corbyn is a baby boomer. Are the majority of boomers left wing? No, but it's a significant plurality.

Conan is switching to a 30-minute show next year and focusing more on travel/remotes/clueless gamer/internet oriented stuff. quote:As long expected, Conan O’Brien is changing things up at Turner. The talk show host’s “Conan” will move to a new nightly 30-minute format in 2019, which TBS said would be a “less structured” format that will have guests and a variety of segments drawn from the Team Coco portfolio.

Yeah, I grew up on Late Night so I'm insanely excited to see the stuff from like 95/96 in halfway decent quality. I can't understand why Comedy Central won't do the same with The Colbert Report. They're treating the show like it's a loving secret or something.
