Some kind of massive PR push which includes things like fluff magazines about Saudi Arabia/royalty. Like full magazines with NO ADS, published by the National Enquirer people. Someone who's more involved with global PR initiatives can tell you "why" but I don't know anything beyond noticing the marketing. Saudi Arabia’s next crown prince actually wants to get rid of the Islamist sharia bullshit and move into the 21st century. He arrested a poo poo load of the most corrupt princes and allegedly stripped them of their wealth. Change doesn’t happen over night, but he’s made a lot of statements indicating he wants to take the country in a new direction. Hence the positive press (but surely he also pays for some/all of it.). IMO it’s one if the most interesting world stories at the moment if international politics excite you. Nystral posted:The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is What he said.

continuing my attitude era catchup and why did they turn DX heel in 99? HHH was over as the top heel with the title and x-pac and the outlaws were sill really over as babyfaces and then at the end of some random raw they join forces with heel hhh and reform DX only this time they're evil for.....reasons??? they don't even both to explain the turn on the next show. im just miffed they broke up kane & x-pac. they had a cool entrance and were like the proto-Team Hell No. Seams fucked around with this message at 11:07 on Apr 7, 2018 |

Purely a guess, but I think it might be something as straightforward as they were all buddies and they wanted to stick together. If you want to be more cynical, Triple H had certainly learned the lesson that there was power in numbers from his time in the Kliq, so it could also have been that he wanted a stable of guys like that only this time with himself at the helm.

In Japanese words and names, a lot of the time i's and u's are whispered. The way you don't actually say "day-sue" when saying "desu", you just say "des" with the silent u making the s more of a hard stop. Once you know this, it makes a ring announcer going "KAZ-U-CHI-KA O-KA-DA" really loving annoying to hear because the I in Kazuchika is silent. Ka-zu-chka.
