Nintendo launches their paid online service in September and it includes 20 NES games. I would rather it include 20 SNES games though. :/

The only part of the leak that I didn't really believe was that it'd be priced cheaper than VC releases have been in the past.

Nintendo has outright stated they have no plans to bring the Virtual Console brand back, presumably opting instead for this subscription service, which will hopefully include more than just NES games down the line.

XB1 def hosed up and got curbstomped at that one fateful E3 with the used games/online only poo poo plus the PS4 being 100 dollars less. What sunk them even further was the complete dearth of 1st party exclusives while Sony continues to pump out masterpiece-level poo poo on a yearly basis. Even when they had a potential killer app, a Hideki Kamiya game that was like DMC with Dragons, they killed it and figured "gently caress it, lean on Minecraft on PUBG" but even that doesn't really pay off when you can play Minecraft everywhere and PUBG runs like dogshit on your monster 4k system

As pathetic as it sounds, I think how easy it was to pirate VC games on the Wii, partially because the VC itself had a very easy to exploit framework shook Nintendo to a point where it's still being felt.

Then the consoles actually came out and both companies changed their tune edit: that was also pre-Phil Spencer though so the change in management probably made a difference too

Haha The only one i played before this was on the NES when I was about 10.
