If by "logical conclusion" you mean "teams intentionally losing games in September so they can draw the number 2 seed and play the AL Central division winner in the ALDS" then yes, logic reigns supreme in Major League Baseball.

I thought ending the season 50 games back would be the ultimate humiliation but no, turns out the ultimate humiliation will be an 0-3 October nut stomping.

I always like the "predestined to be a baseball player" names. Walker, Fowler, Hand, Bench, Fielder etc.
