What Vegas really benefited from is the salary cap, which got dumb GMs, who love overspending, to trade players in a package so they could unload bad salary deals on them. But even then that usually leads to a mediocre team. Gallant has these guys firing on all cylinders, and he deserves all the accolades.

I've said this earlier, but Washington getting garboed by Fleury in the finals is the funniest possible Cup final. I think that would make Vegas winning it well worth it for just about anybody.

I am 100% ok with Vegas winning if they're playing Tampa but I still want OV to win a Cup first. Them losing to an expansion team in their first year led by MAF would be the Capsiest thing possible though.
