The old Hershey Park had a couple rides in the funhouse that were pretty out there. There was a large polished wood disc, about 10 or 12 feet across, and slightly domed. I've never seen another one in real life, I had kinda assumed someone in the town had just made it themselves. It's essentially scaffolding poles. You had to try and walk across the poles into the middle without falling through and being murdered by it. No one was ever really seriously hurt by it I don't think but still I wouldn't want any kids now to have to use one.

I don't know if you guys ever figured this out but if you get people to push/run near the pole you can spin that sort of contraption up to ludicrous speeds.
The one we hosed around with had a completely open center ring: the poles were overhead. It was designed for people to whip that fucker up to ludicrous speeds.

Schubalts posted:

We had a seat version of those where I grew up. It was on a riverside, in a big picnic/duckfeeding area. So the kids would pile on, then a few dads would begin the Spin. The only words anyone would say were the kids chanting "FASTER" louder and louder. The faster it went, the closer the seats got to a 90-degree angle.

Since it was all seats, you had no "Ok, I'm done", you were in for the long haul.

The one I'm talking about didn't have seats. It just had poles to hang onto and boards to stand on, while you could. The faster it went the closer your body got to a 90-degree angle. When you said "Ok, I'm done" you had to hope you landed "safely."

I think you will be fine on elevators as long as you don’t pee on the buttons or repeatedly crash your scooter into the door.

Stairs are healthier and less risk, though I'm sure there will shortly be a video of someone failing 5 stories as the stairs crumble into rust.

You can't use the stairs because the air is so bad it's not safe to breath too deeply. (I'm making some assumptions about goons and stair climbing here).
