The Kins posted:GZDoom and its family are capable of an amazing amount of things, but it's also a decade of amateur/enthusiast code piled on top of each other in a Jenga tower of fear, so the further you try to stretch away from a Doom-style first person shooter, the more obstacles get in the way and the fiddlier things can become, almost as if the engine's sentient and actively resisting your attempts to defy god and science. is this not the soul of modding?
