Wasn’t there a book or something that explained how the giant demon boss from the first Wolfenstien game put a curse on BJs family that it would come back and wipe out his blood line, and it turns out that demon is actually the Cyberdemon which makes Doomguy BJs great great great grandson or some poo poo.

As of Doom 2016, Doomguy has started to be referred to as the Doomslayer. IIRC that's how he is listed in character select in Quake Champions. And he would be a welcome addition to Smash.

Same, Nintendo usually does good by DLC but it could be overpriced nonsense and I'll buy it cause it's Smash. Also I finally watched the controversial (?) Ridley VS Bayonetta match from the invitational and while Bayo is still kinda BS, I have read some defenses that the stage has a super low ceiling to begin with and that two of Ridley's stocks were taken by a Final Smash and an assist trophy respectively so there was a lot working against him that match. The Mario V Bayonetta later on was much closer and I think Bayo only took it due to an accidental SD, so I have hopes that she's a bit more balanced this time round.

I wish they'd just buff power suit Samus. On the Ridley front, I'm wondering how his down B actually works. It looks like it's just an incredibly strong stab with decent range that puts people in a crumple state for easy follow up, but that just seems way too good? Maybe it's slower in play than it looks watching videos.

That's cool then. Ridley looks slick and I'm really looking forward to surfing on people Firebrand style. Any word on if counters are being changed at all? With dodging giving diminishing returns now and Witch Time already doing that from Smash 4, it makes me wonder if all the Fire Emblem swordsmen will have to use their counters more sparingly.

Yeah those things are definitely true about how he died but my man Leo literally double jumped like 3 or 4 times during the combo. the interaction with her specials and jumps are even more broken at the moment it seems.
