Cassidy's power level fluctuates a lot, doesn't it? In the pilot, he could take on an entire planefull of vampire hunters. Now, all it takes to defeat him is a bump on the head with a rifle butt. I would like to see some more vampire asskicking.

Yeah the pilot made him seem really formidable. Now he's just like, some guy that anyone can beat up

Cassidy is fast and strong and can survive just about anything but he's also dumb as rocks and can't actually fight worth a drat. Anyone who really knows how to handle themselves should be able to deal with him.

Also most of his fights have been either with Jesse 'This Guy Fucks' Custer or with people who can handle themselves with Jesse.

He took down an entire group of heavily armed, presumably trained, vampire hunters in the pilot. Definitely seemed like a capable fighter then. I just wish they would let him do some more cool stuff like that, instead of just being a loser who heals fast.

He dicks around until he gets pissed off, in the books bar fights were just horseplay until someone gets him mad, at which point he'll start throwing people through walls. If he's not motivated then he's just a punching bag with one-liners.

I haven’t read the comics but the bit about how Cass doesn’t know how to fight because he’s never needed to learn is more interesting to me anyway. We already have one fighting superhero and I guess Tulip kicks rear end now too 🤷🏾‍♂️

I guess he'll be fighting arena battles in The Tombs now, so we'll see how he does then :).

Finally caught up on S3 and gently caress the ad-crazy AMC app forever. It instantly reminded me why I stopped keeping up with earlier seasons. I get it, ads on a free app, but 2+ minute commercial blocks are a complete momentum-stopper for a show like this.

It's also funny they made Jody look like Hodor, but that's whatever.

I will not shut up about the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I talk about them all the time and work them into every conversation I have. I built a shrine in my room for the yellow one who died because sadly no one noticed because she died around 9/11. Wanna see it?
Actually really liked this one although I'm not quite finished yet.

A little EQ, a touch of reverb, slap on some compression and there. That'll get your dickbutt jiggling.
I loved Madame Boyd just chilling in the trunk texting on her phone while she waited all night to be let out.

I also appreciated them not having Cass use the love potion. Since that was very clearly a build up to something in the comic that I really never enjoyed.

Yeah, that entire story arc in the comic pretty much ruins Cass as a character and he never really recovers. It also isn't really that great for Tulip either.

I was just thinking "Wait, what about Madame Boyd?", and then it turned out that Tulip forgot about her as well. This was a pretty good episode.

I really just want a spin off show of Starr and Cassidy on a nationwide road trip dealing with random religious stuff they don't care about while Cassidy is on a side trip trying to eliminate the entire staff of the Big Lebowski.

It was legit good yeah. The hell part (the beginning especially) actually felt comic booky without being too lame or too derivative of the actual comic. I actually was worried about the butler or steward or whatever that escorted him to the elevator.

Holy poo poo. That's so drat good.

This episode was really fun. I liked when they were calmed down in the living room talking about what to do, and how they needed a soul and they all just look at each other and starting fighting for like the 3rd time this episode.

Tulip being competent and getting the best of Jody was really nice, I just wished they showed what she did so we had more on screen competence of Tulip.

Agreed.

I also noticed recently that there is a shitload of male nudity in this show, and we see very little of Tulip. As a heterosexual woman, I am not complaining, I just thought it was curious.
