I'm not sure if there is a regulation for that. DRYS was doing them every week or so for a while.

DRYS was a combination of failing business, reverse splits, and short squeeze. I think at one point 80% of shares were shorted.

And because while that is going on, it will be listed on the pink sheets? Because if so

Nikkei is about to go into crisis mode if this continues for even 4/5th if the week and the BoJ is going to step in. The government is raising interest rates preemptively so that it can drop them again when the poo poo starts to go down. I give it until Friday. If I was a swing trader I would be shorting a lot of my portfolio on it. fatal oopsie-daisy fucked around with this message at 00:15 on Jul 31, 2018 |

Lots of expected bad earnings reports incoming on Wednesday and Thursday, BoJ probably changing monetary policy to anticipate the aforementioned drop (self-defeating as it is) which will cause the yen to inflate which basically ruins the key point of Abe Shinzo’s economic policy and puts the country back in its hole with no real way out aside from blowing the whole thing up and waiting another 30 years. The truth is that, except for cars, no one is buying Japanese exports right now and the gamble to help Japanese export firms survive in Asia is failing. Most of the successful Japanese businesses this week are financials that aren’t doing any business with Japan themselves. I talked to a DC/DB pension planner for Kao this week and she let me know that poo poo is mega-hosed with most pensions in the private sector as well, no one wants to jump on Abe’s wild ride. fatal oopsie-daisy fucked around with this message at 00:40 on Jul 31, 2018 |

Just Forex short the yen is the easiest way but you could also just short the Nikkei instrument as a whole if you don’t wanna specifically research each company’s earnings reports for this week edit: Also the government is literally trying to put people out of business by raising the minimum wage by like 4%, forgot to mention that. Deflation is going to gently caress this country up real bad when it starts rolling. fatal oopsie-daisy fucked around with this message at 02:05 on Jul 31, 2018 |

melon cat posted:Agree on both points. Tesla's now selling $1500 surfboards and I can't tell if it's just a cute merch-out or if they're actually just cooking up silly poo poo to make it some weird side-revenue stream. In either case, I think that the only thing keeping TSLA a "viable" company is the fact that they're currently the only automaker really focusing on EVs. But even then, Ford is committing to 40 new electrified vehicles by 2022, so if the other vehicle manufacturers have similar plans (which they probably do) then Tesla is effectively hosed. I just looked at puts and holy crap they are expensive. I'm still tempted...

Wow Bank of Japan is actually sticking with it's easy money policy Well I guess that means they know they're hosed and just want to appear absolved while the ship is sinking Sadly that means the drop, when it happens (which it will) is going to be almost impossible to predict.
