I'm pretty sure its a trick of perspective but Rousimar's right hand looks twice as big as his left. I'm quite glad that man is no longer in the UFC.

So it's been roughly a year since Jon Jones failed his last drug test and we still don't know how long his suspension is going to be for, right?

He had a hilariously bad CSAC hearing but USADA has been quiet on anything for their end.

That looks like something other than perspective - the hand looks weirdly huge relative to the forearm it is attached to. Like how a cartoonist might do a sketch of a Popeye like character to emphasise he is a man of physical activity

And I'm not afraid to die.

the punishment goes from the date of the positive test anyway so its not benefitting jones, he cant fight until hes either cleared by usada or his suspension is over. chances are theyre just building a proper case so it costs them less money to fight it in court or something along those lines since rich athletes tend to drag things out like that

That doesn't really help Jones here, since the UFC is not gonna let him fight without clearance, so he can't get paid first and then go back to court to get forgiveness.
Though I suppose he could take a paycut and fight in One or something.

Yeah the longer this drags out the more likely it seems that Jones might be facing the full 4 year suspension.

true. but if he gets cleared (chances are he won't but there's been some seriously unlikely defenses in doping cases before) he could argue over lost career earnings and stuff like that, plus loss of sponsors and that kind of thing. whether or not he has any real chance of winning those kinds of suits too is probably debatable but it's a lot of money to fight it. so i think usada will have the strongest case they can build

Nah, you guys just aren't smart enough to realize the independent testing body for whom the UFC is a negligible fraction of their income is risking its international credibility to give Jon Jones a slide for his third drug failure.

You guys aren't smart enough to realize God has a plan and Jon's plan is to make mistakes and learn from them and now his eyes are open and he has a new respect for this world, his family, how his path can be used to lift others up and oh DC's a big baby bitch with a dead Dad, loser.

I was on the bandwagon that Jon Jones would be cleared and fighting at the end of the year...until they booked DC vs Brock. Its looking less and less likely he'll be back before next fall. I doubt he gets four years.

I'm guessing they bought everything sold by every GNC in New Mexico and couldn't find one tainted with what he popped for. If they were going tainted supplements, we should have heard something by now. I'm not gonna predict 4 years because USADA has never brought the hammer down on anyone remotely famous, but it could be 2 or 3.

I think it's a fine defense if it's a substance you declared to USADA. If it's something you pulled out of your rear end that you conveniently forgot about then gently caress all that.

Tainted supplement defense should require the sealed same-batch control samples. If they don't have that evidence it shouldn't even been admissable.

well these guys are using the slack FDA regulations regarding stuff like no xplode and that kind of supplement stack you can buy in america, which often have stuff not listed in the ingredients included in it and it creates a loophole where you can get away with banned substances so long as you find something that has it in but not listed on the ingredients list. and this is far too common with supplement stacks, common enough that they should just stop accepting it as an excuse, theyre already recommending athletes not to use them on their site as it is. if you need a specific substance or vitamin or amino acid or whatever you can easily get it in a purer form than this pre mixed garbage from unregulated sources

I mean that's the lovely part. You could just collect a bunch sups. In a perfect world I guess they would just ban pre-made supplement stacks and everyone would use the pure powders to mix things up.
