Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaart Cubs put up 5 batters and still managed to only make Chacin throw 15 pitches.

"The David Bote grandslam is going to turn this team around and send them on a run!" *Cubs immediately fall into the exact same trap of lifeless offense and garbage SP*

At this point if we make the postseason, Hamels should be in the rotation and Q should not.

The Pussy Boss posted:Yeah I really hope the Cubs, who have the best record in the National League, can turn it around I had to double check to confirm this. The NL doesn't have a single 70 game winner yet, while the AL has three, along with the Mariners at 69 (nice) and the Red Sox at 85. What is going on this year?

Well if there is any hope it's that Chacin doesn't look particularly sharp so the Cubs should have chances to chip away.

Some Numbers posted:I had to double check to confirm this. clearly the DH hurts the competitive balance of baseball and should be abolished. (gently caress the DH) But yeah every AL postseason race has basically been over since June (except now the A's have gotten red hot and made the West interesting) while mass excursions to the Disabled List have gimped the Dodgers and Cubs and kept parity alive and well in the NL. Likely gonna be another one of those years where whichever 86 win team survives the 7 game NLCS handily wins the world series over some AL Juggernaut that got cold after sitting idle for a week (and cooling off) after coasting through September and sweeping the ALCS. Hail Satan
