Some rental companies allow it. Some don't. It probably has to do with the insurance they carry and past experience. Who even gives a gently caress.

Restrictions renting cars, buying things, or living in certain places is not discrimination for the simple fact that they are privileges not rights. There are relatively few codified rights compared to privileges, and people tend to blur those lines as needed.

Icon Of Sin posted:Alex Jones had a pirate radio station, which the FCC dropped the hammer on today. This is actually old news. The pirate station stopped broadcasting last December. Link to the NAL: https://www.fcc.gov/document/15k-nal-walter-and-m-rae-nadler-olenick-pirate-operations Notice of Apparent Liability The NAL forfeiture (fine) is from 2014. Each of the dates below generally include a "Pay within 30 days" order. On August 12, 2013 the tower and station was located. The FCC noted that one of the building's owners had a bumper sticker advertising the pirate station. They located what was believed to be a "utility" room that the station operated from. On September 6, 2013 the FCC told them to shut it down. $10,000 fine (which can be decreased by factors which include the nature, circumstances, extent, and gravity of the violations, and with respect to the violator, the degree of culpability, any history of prior offenses, ability to pay). On November 19, 2013 the FCC confirmed it was still in operation after sending multiple warnings. This increased the fine $5,000. On March 5, 2014 the building owners filed a Petition for Reconsideration (how you get the fine lowered, see above). They claimed ownership of the station: quote:“As blatantly conspicuous to the world, we are the property owners, thus, the owners of the tower.” [/quote quote:“You look at ‘Title 47’ and see 'evidence of law.' We look at the same compilation of words and see Monte Hall's, 'Let's Make a Deal!'. i.e., an offer. We decline your offer, as we have from the outset, and will forever decline your offer." On June 3, 2014, the FCC issues the NAL for $15,000. On July 1, 2014 the defendants try some more sov-cit magic spells. On August 19, 2014 the FCC again told them their sov-cit nonsense doesn't work; pay up. On November 21, 2014 the FCC tells them again that they've got 30 days to pay up, or they'll send it to the Department of Justice. On September 8, 2014 they reply with some more sov-cit nonsense and claim they never sent the March 5 letter admitting to owning the station. They also say they plan to keep running the station. [probably missing a response from the FCC here telling them they have 30 days yaddayaddayadda] On December 3, 2014 they send the FCC some more sov-cit nonsense. [missing a bunch of stuff here] December, 2017 they stop broadcasting. Some, probably, unrelated nuttery: On January 18, 2017 they appeal: https://search.txcourts.gov/Case.aspx?cn=03-17-00036-CV&coa=coa03 This is full of more sov-cit magic spells right from the get-go: https://search.txcourts.gov/SearchM...ae-e12d3e339945 On November 10, 2017 the sov-cit pirates file a motion to dismiss their appeal. http://www.search.txcourts.gov/Sear...d7-d89b898c5a48

Was listening to a This American Life about a no legged high school wrestler. He ended up being number one in the state or something. The thing is, the opponents had no idea how to approach him. Center of balance is different, different style of fighting they’ve never seen or experienced etc. They did have a whole thing about the weight class being skewed considering he had no legs to stand on.
