I've never had any trouble with Fite.tv, their quality is always solid. Tonight (This afternoon?) PFL 6 goes live @ 7PM EST on Facebook with the main card starting @ 10PM EST on NBCSN (in the US, not sure about Internationally). Maybe we'll get to see Jake Shields get destroyed again quote:--MAIN CARD--

Unironically pleased to see Jake Shields and Rick Story are buried under Moamar Gaddhafi vs Bojak Horseman

I thought that was a grappling tourney at first with Jake and Story buried on internet prelims but it's even funnier than that.

I didn't know Jake Shields' previous fight was against the son of someone he'd fought. Ray "Bradda" Cooper Jr. and Ray "Bradda Boy" Cooper III

Excited for Kasai Grappling 3 Tomorrow night! A great night of grappling tomorrow night in NYC @kasaigrappling in the Hammerstein Ballroom. The headline bout will be between outstanding Australian grappler Craig Jones and Brazilian powerhouse Rousimar Palhares. Mr Palhares was supposed to weigh in at 185 pounds but showed up at 218, apparently unaware that he had to make a weight limit.

There is literally no way Palhares could've cut to 185 even if he tried given the pictures of him recently. He looked like he's been hanging with a silverback gorilla and Ricardo Arona

That's so common in the minor leagues it's not even funny. One of my teammates was a natural 125er, and he regularly had to fight guys 145 or above because either there wasn't anyone small enough with the experience to fight him, or the other guy just flat out didn't want to cut the weight. He got an 8 second knock out on a guy that was easily 155-160 lbs. It was impressive as gently caress. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tfh-T81LRzk

And he just sat on his knees in front of his opponent last night and did nothing. He lost on penalty points because of his stalling. Articles I’ve read said it was worse than schaub/cyborg.

Palhares was the boogeyman in this bout, a 218lb, 5'8" monster with a bad reputation of tearing limbs and injuring opponents. Maybe this infamy has finally had an effect, maybe it was Jones's own reputation as a limb destroyer, but this was the most subdued Palhares we've ever seen. The Brazilian refused to get off his knees and sat in front of Jones for the full 15 minutes, playing a defensive posture that offered zero opportunity for the Aussie submission specialist to attack. The problem was, Palhares did nothing to advance position and offered nothing of note throughout the match. At one point, a voice in the crowd urged Palhares to get off his knees such was the level of inactivity during the match. Jones took the win via penalty points accumulated against Palhares. It was the most undesired outcome possible. “I was focused on not dying,” says Jones in his post-match interview. “It looked like the Brendan Schaub approach." He's not wrong. Schaub became infamous in the grappling world for his awful stallfest vs Roberto Cyborg in 2013, so much so that "Schaubing" entered the grappling lexicon for somebody who runs away from a match. Maybe Palhares will no longer be associated with brutal leglocks, but instead with kneeling unmoving in front of an opponent

Gallaghers a good grappler but he doesn't seem to be able to get the rhythm of striking down. He's basically kavanaghs adopted son or some poo poo. also the faux mcgregor thing is deeply tedious. Getting totally outclassed on the feet might have been the best thing for him though.

It's really sad, like I get that fighters get body art of help standout and be macho or whatever, but basically copying the guy is ridiculous. Worst thing mcgregor did was bring sub-WWE heel obnoxiousness to MMA and all the pretenders that are aping him. Gallagher would be better served by staying off social media and cocaine.
