It feels kind of weak until you get Kondo's, at which point your damage will go up considerably. This should be priority number one. It isn't very good at mapping. You can map, but compared to any clear speed build it is unpleasantly slow. It is very good at running lab safely, and on the cheap. 99% of the time you'll just have brightbreak/eclipse out and be leapslamming through the levels. With the totems taunting, you will rarely get targeted. I only really like it as a starter labfarmer, with the goal of building currency for a serious mapper (like inpulsa anything). Still switching back and forth between CI HoWa AW Heiro or Mana Guardian. HoWa is WAY cheaper but I'm kind of meh on AW totems for mapping, four of them does help. Mana Guardian I'll level arc totems grabbing Totemic Mastery, Ancestral Bond and probably Shamanistic Furry for leveling then respec around 75 or so. HoWa using ALL uniques - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1989546 Generic Mana Guardian - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2088517 Thought about a max block BF Gladiator on the reddit hunch they nerfed block because it'll be powerful in delve. Still not sure its better than a few other options like pierce but definitely a bonus if you put it in the embalmer gloves.

I'm leaning towards doing a fire trap build but I'm still considering doing GC mines. I figure it'll be easier to pick up the gear for GC mines, and I'm worried about how expensive Shroud of the Lightless will be without Zana Abyss mod.

Thats with the stuff he had in bestiary, so good 3-stat jewels and a 21/0 arc, but without Soul Mantle. He has claimed that a good shaped staff would out damage that in 3.4, which I would find pretty crazy since shimmeron is one hell of a lot of damage, but if its anywhere close to those numbers it definitely doesn't have to hide from traps. Except you have to use a staff.
