These guys rip and you can byy their disco on Bandcamp for .50 cents (I paid more than that but sometimes you only have 50 cents.)

It's interesting to hear a band from a country actively in a war. I mean it's not war metal, but I imagine some soldier blasting it in some bombed out factory trying to not get killed by Russians.

Hey this is really good! Reminds me of Drudkh.

Also - regarding Americana and BM chat, I'd say Horseback does it best. It's more the other way around for them where black metal influences their sparser sound than say Panapticon, but they evoke the West really well in my opinion.

Horseback is awesome but they really have only two or three releases with any black metal influence worth mentioning.

This might be better in the regular metal thread, but I'm looking for an album by a band that is black metal with hardcore-style vocals. I think it came out last year or the year before, though it may have even been from 2015. The cover is (I think) a black and white illustration of a hearse outside a chapel, or maybe outside a tower.

Unfortunately not. I'll probably run across it again someday by accident, I just wish I could remember more about it because I think about it once in a while and it bugs me not being able to figure it out.

I listened to two songs and it sounds much better than their awful last album, but still not all that great compared to the old stuff.

Kind of awkward timing because I was gonna ask if anyone minded if I closed this thread. It often goes weeks between posts and pretty much everyone here also posts in the general metal thread. Stoner/Doom/Sludge has a bit more of a distinctive feel and the metalcore/deathcore thread might as well be on a different forum altogether. Let me know if you feel strongly that this should stay separate.

I'd prefer them to stay separate because the s/n ratio in the regular metal thread is terrible. I can only wade through so many Devin Townsend posts before I want to start self-harming.

In principle I agree with Oldstench's comment; the s/n ratio in the other thread isn't great for me compared to this one.

Otoh as much as I like this thread's content it's not very lively :shobon:

Maybe if you guys injected some black metal content into the main thread there wouldn’t be so many posts about Devin Townsend (who has his own thread!) and arguments about whether Ghost is good or not. On the other hand it would increase the amount of arguments about Nazis.

I agree. Plus, the endless cycle of people getting extremely defensive when someone makes fun of Ghost or whatever starts to wear. It would be nice if the black metal thread got more posts than the occasional bandcamp link plus "it's good/bad," but I guess that's on us.

Fuil Na Seanchoille is an extremely cool project and I'm bummed the guy doesn't seem to be doing much with it anymore. The same label put out a compilation of his demos on vinyl but I'm not sure how widely available it is anymore.
