Ok, so we spent the last 2 weeks in Amsterdam, Germany, and Italy and today we're in NYC. It's very noticeable that in Europe you get a little extra distance outside your circle to spin/gym. Like maybe 10-15 feet. I'm bad at estimating. Weird.

Oh that explains it; when I'm at home in Whistler I get a bit of extra space but when I was in LA a couple weeks back I had to be exactly within the circle to hit a pokestop. I couldn't figure out what the difference was.

Bought incubators last night to clear eggs out pre-event. Freaked out today thinking poo poo, aren't gift eggs generated when the gift is received from the pokestop?  But Silph Road has PSAs up stating eggs get 'rolled for' when you open the gift, not before. So I can clear out my egg box, hold onto gifts, and start opening them tomorrow at 1 to get event-relevant 7k eggs  Also I literally forgot until last night that one can spend actual money to buy things in this free to play game! Instead of painstakingly gathering coins from the rare times I can actually defend gyms (my team's the local minority). Figure the number of hours I've spent on this damned game, I can justify throwing a few  at the developer

No one send me gifts until the 13th. I cleared out eggs and now can't spin stops or open old gifts if I'm understanding this correctly. I also won't send out gifts again until the 13th just to make sure that if you're getting eggs from me they'll be regionals.

Is it me or does it seem like Niantic adjusted drop rates of presents from stops? Normally the run I do in the morning nets me something like 15 presents but as of late it's been half that, and it seems like the gifts I've been receiving lately have been lower too.

If anything I've been getting more gifts recently. Are you sure you're not giftcapped, Louisgod? You can only hold ten at a time so if you hit that cap during your run none of the remaining stops will be able to give you one.. Also I dunno if it's the same for everyone but at least on my end you're getting fewer gifts from me because I sort my friends list by friendship and work my way down, and you took like a week to open a gift once so you fell way down.

Has anyone seen longer Go-tcha/Go+ sessions since the last update? Just happened to notice it this morning. I connected mine almost an hour and a half ago and it's still going. Seems like the only time it disconnects for me now is when the app is force-closed or the system kills it for resources. I guess I didn't really notice it since my phone is a bit older and frequently kills the app when it's in the background. It would be awesome if they managed to raise the connection timeout along with all the other fixes they added. e: I must have jinxed it while typing the post. The game did finally disconnect the Go-tcha after an hour and a half. So it's possible they raised the time limit.
