I'd still be driving the same piece of poo poo car I drove my entire adult life if mechanics could figure out why it kept dying. I'll gladly chip in to keep someone else in theirs. God I made the biggest drat mess today. I was lifting a tub of sliced jalapenos off the top shelf in the walk-in when it fell away from the lid I was lifting it and it clipped the edge of a pan of curry sauce that was cooling off on a lower shelf. A whole gallon splattered all over me and everything in the area, which is about a hundred things in a cramped bar walk-in. Had fun rinsing off half our stock during the game rush. Thank god the Seahawks suck this year so we weren't super busy.

Hey guys, I edited the link out of the prior post. I appreciate what you're doing here and love the sentiment, but as a rule, gofundmes are a no on the forums because they've gone wrong so many times. OMG you guys. STOP MAKING ME CRY, everybody at work probably thinks I'm blazing up on my breaks because my eyes have looked like two loving cherry tomatoes for the past two days. It's in the mid 30's and pouring out today, and I still walked home in that meteorological shitshow with a big ol' smile on my face because I hopefully won't have to have to deal with that bullshit for much longer. If there's one thing Pilar got right during the 15 years I've owned her, she's got bangin' heat. I've got a shout out to GFM's support to figure out why I was able to re-register with my email, but can't seem to log in to tweak where the money actually goes. In the mean time, please stand by, I don't want goons throwing their money into the ether. Also changing the subject, I've been out of work for a year + now (largely self-imposed). But I'm having trouble finding the motivation to go back to sales, and running a bar again is sounding more and more like a better idea. Someone talk me down, is this a good idea or bad idea? I'm looking at you, MAKE NO BABBYS and bloody ghost titty.

F&B conferences are so mentally demanding, I look at my food, buffets, etc. during this whole shebang, and I'm not even sure things are good, bad, cohesive, and so on. Not even sure I know what food is and isn't anymore.

Kinda funny that I bought a beef heart for the first time on Saturday and I'm gonna cook it on my day off today. Some people do have a heart, and y'know what? It's in the kitchen. I promise my next and only other post on this subject will be a video of me driving off in my car and finally getting to go to the Asian/Latino grocery stores on the other side of town, gently caress yeah gonna finally get me some Angry Woman sauce, I've been bereft for months, wooooooo Thanks for your patience and understanding, LiquidC. Sorry for the double post. (granted, hours apart, but still) Mmmmmm, that feeling when your partner pokes you awake at dawn o'clock asking "Hey sweetie, what time do you go in today?" And you wake up in a panic, flipping out with "poo poo, did KM call me? Did my alarm not go off? What time is it? ... Wait, what day is it?" "Tuesday." And then that gushing, almost orgasmic sense of relief when you realize you didn't set your alarm because it's your loving day off. Dunno about y'all, but that is my favorite way to wake up. (And then go back to sleep after summoning two snuggly cats to the bed)

I took 2 days off to give myself four in a row (first time in more than a year!) and pretty much just got drunk and slept and hung out with my kitten and boyfriend. I’m still dreading going back and it’s just straight back into the madness... 1/3 new bar staff to train, four PR photoshoots/interviews in 2 days, a mini book tour, my cage is a mess, 2-3 private events on top of 300 covers a day ad infinitum and 16 FULL BUYOUTS IN DECEMBER which is impressive because we close for three days for the holidays. People are going to be loving PISSED because it’s even harder to get a table and corporate buyout holiday parties are their own type of hell. Also I got assigned to close on NYE  I wanted to smooch my bf at midnight for the first time ever. Please kill me. E: maybe look at brand work? Seems like a nice halfway point between sales & managing.
