That does look interesting and well-done. From what I've read, Zumbariner has enough content to justify a new effort. No promises and it'll be a while if it happens, but that's now fairly high on my list of 'stuff I'd like to do if I can get to it'.

You won't need a mod once Holy Fury comes out. There's an "Animal Kingdom" option in Random Worlds.

As you may have noticed, Fallout 76 is out and is largely being savaged by players and critics, being called the single worst game in the Fallout series. This is not a request for an LP of that game, because I don't give a poo poo and it'd probably be boring anyway. Instead, I want to see some poor bastard tackle what used to be considered the worst Fallout game -- Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel on the PS2 (or original Xbox).

I've seen enough of BoS to know that it's a horrible mess, but somehow even it seems more functional and playable than Fallout 76!

Ah, good old Herve Caen at the helm of Interplay, doing what he does best and loving everything up. They don't explicitly mention him in the article, but pretty much every bad decision Interplay made around that time can be traced to him so I feel comfortable blaming him for this as well.

I wonder how the game would have been received if they didn't gently caress with the lore and add a bunch of bullshit that didn't fit the tone of Fallout (on that note, I still cringe a bit whenever I think back to a line in a BoS review back in '04 that said "For once, "People=poo poo" by Slipknot plays in the right place"). I'm pretty sure the hardcore fans would've been up in arms regardless because of Interplay's decision to can Black Isle's Fallout 3 while releasing this stupid idiot console game for babbies, and the game does have a variety of problems in the gameplay department as well, but maybe it wouldn't have been quite the disaster it ended up being.

We don't need to have that dialogue because it's obvious, trivial, and has already been had a thousand times.
By request of the comic strip thread, the tabletop role-playing game that puts the vore in vorpal,

Kevin and Kell the Roleplaying Game

Perhaps the only role playing game with more gratuitous fetishism than FATAL and more cannibalism than that Sun Vulture Fallout: New Vegas LP.

Don't worry, it's presumably actually G-rated. For those not aware, Kevin & Kell is an absurdly long-lived webcomic (since 1995, the current record-holder) about talking animals by a guy named Bill Holbrook, who also has a bunch of genuine syndicated comic strips, and is apparently quite successful.

We have no idea how Holbrook has stayed in business, because Kevin & Kell combines a number of bizzare, horrific features:

1. The comic frequently revolves around the respective, ecologially realistic diets of these sapient cartoon animals, whose society somehow functions despite having formal and informal industrial systems for predation and cannibalism. Think Nega-Zootopia, but played incredibly loosely.
2. Holbrook routinely uses the comic (as well as his syndicated comics) to indulge some sort of bizzare maternity/pregnancy/transformation/crossbreeding fetish. Wolves get species reassignment surgery to become goats. Carnivorous bat/porcupine hybrids. At least one cast member pregnant or nursing or discussing kegel exercises at all times.
3. It's a 23 year-old-webcomic, so it combines the mind-boggling soap-opera of endless canon with the freewheeling insanity of a chatroom roleplay session. To wit:

Ghostlight posted:

Just because we live in comics purgatory, I was like "wait, wasn't the rat already spying on RL?" and went down the Hevin & Hell rabbithole to discover that in fact she is Kevin's first rabbit wife who left him after cybersexing his dad then had plastic surgery to look like a rat so that she could marry RL as a predator and the reason for my confusion is that she's the grandmother of the obnoxious flying porcupine.

This is representative of the strip's plot.

So, of course, it turns out there's a Kevin & Kell Role Playing Game book out there, and I think there could not be a better source of internet comedy gold. And I'm dying to see someone experience it, so we of the comic strip thread can experience it vicariously. Because god knows reading the strip every day is traumatic enough.

Not sure if this has been requested before, but my inner child really wants to see an LP of Impossible Creatures; an utter gem of the RTS genre made by Relic, the same people who brought us Homeworld. VLP would be preferred, but I could very much do an SSLP. (I think there's one SSLP in the forum archives that dates back to June 2011 via the master-list, but a quick glance at LP Archives doesn't have it show up and I'm unsure if the original image-hosts used for it still exist or if the image quality still holds up were I to see it today with my non-existent Archives upgrade, which is why I'm suggesting it now)

Failing that, a deep, lore diving (i.e the more obscure parts of the franchise are explained in somewhat gory detail), as-close-to 100% run SSLP or VLP of SD Gundam G Generation Genesis for the PS4 (or the Switch if that's easier) would be amazing and an interesting challenge to take on.

It's 17 games released across 7 systems over 15 years, so I think it deserves more attention.

Super Ninja Boys is from the Little Ninja Brothers series, also by Culture Brain. Both had tie-in manga that was translated and run in early issues of Gamepro magazine.

And yes, about half the series is straight up fighting games (including the first game from the arcade, Shanghai Kid) but the series also has a bunch of platforming/rpg stuff going on too, usually with a sentai superhero slant. Culture Brain were...kinda insane at game design.
