It is important to remember that these are the same people who responded to criticism of the horse armor in Skyrim by putting a horse armor skin in Fallout 4's creation club. It was meant to be tongue in cheek, but I'm beginning to suspect they meant it as a gently caress you.

Fallout 76 seems like what happens when every single person at a company lied on their resume to get the job. "Do you know how to make a support website?" "Yeah, of course, do you know how to make an online game?" "oh yeah, totally" "well, good chat" *both people pull out their phones and frantically start googling how to do their job*

I know exactly what I'm doing. I just don't know what effect it's going to have. Over there controls power armor. That monitor has readouts on the script debugger. That big button there makes a crazy noise. Skyrim Dragons come out of that slot if you put click on it. And I'm learning more every day. I push buttons. I turn dials. I read numbers. Sometimes I make up little stories in my head about what the numbers mean. But the servers outside aren't configured right, so we're running at one percent stash space. At this point even if I enjoyed the game I would uninstall it, because the only way they could possibly gently caress it up more from here is if they made it actually damage your computer in some way.

I think there's been a few games recently that deleted other poo poo when updating or uninstalling. MTG: Arena beta had a bug like that if you installed it in a non-default directory I think.

I mean, after this patch I'm stuck in the whitesprings hotel with an infinite loading screen and am literally unable to play the game. I just choose to look at the positive side of that and say that now I actually have time to prepare for my exams a week and a half away. Up until now, everything so far could be explained by some corpulent executive forcing the game out the door early. But, this bit about leaking personal information? Uh-uh. This goes beyond mere stupidity. I honestly think that Bethesda has one or more disgruntled employees actively trying to sabotage the company.

The best part about the personal info leak has to be that it happened via the support system for Bethesda's buggiest game yet. It's poetic.

It's pretty clear as mud what has happened. Bethesda has been funded by Robert Trump, Donald Trump's brother, for decades. To really understand fallout 76 you have to understand what led to the 2016 presidential election. Donald Trump spent the 70s and 80s burning thru his father's money, building vanity projects in place of the love he could never get from his father. By the 90s he'd swindled every lender in the United States and owed billions. The government was after him, and the jig was nearly up on his sham wealth. Then he met some Russian oligarchs who couldn't clean their money (mostly made off drug production in DPRK), who proposed to pay his debts if he would use their money in his failing properties. It was perfect, really. Trump could look more successful than he was, and the oligarchs would all be given shares of his properties and luxurious homes around the world. Little known fact, Golf courses and casinos are the number one and two money laundering scam operations. Before long Trump's entire family was laundering Russian money, and the burgeoning video game market was a fitting mark. Really it's plain as day, all the daddy issues in Fallout 3 and 4. That's how deep this goes.

But at least the meal will leave me satisfied for a couple of hours before turning to poo poo. I'm real mad at myself for pre-ordering this thing, I never pre-order and apart from like maybe three titles over the last decade, I never buy games anywhere near release. I thought this was a super easy buy after spending hundreds of hours in fo4, I seriously did not anticipate this train wreck. Like I'm not even waiting for patches now, I uninstalled it because I don't think Bethesda are capable of fixing it.

That "I don't care" post is loving disgusting. Same type of thinking idiots use for minimizing racism and sexism. "Hey it doesn't happen to me or bother me so it's not important" Bethesda's probably reading that post and thinking "good, idiots will still buy our poo poo no matter what AND defend their bad decision to purchase it". Like you can't even say that buying this game is a good idea when there's a high chance it will either gently caress up your personal data by either deleting it or spreading it over the internet. But of course some idiot will come along and say "Well I don't mind if my info gets leaked, because I don't use my info for anything anyways, I got a wife and kids now!", like that somehow absolves Bethesda of any wrongdoings.

I played Fallout 4 for a few days, but I have returned to Fallout 76. I don't know why, I think is the feel that theres people in the world, in Fallout 4 you will never meet another human being, but in Fallout 76 theres the other players that you can see in the map and are always doing something. Something inside me want to be in the place with people, and not in the place alone (Fallout 4). Objetivelly I don't have anything to do in Fallout76 (I already did everything), so I just walk around mussing and bingewatching tv series on the laptop.
