My wife and I were laying on the bed sideways, reading phones, and Pit Pat was curled up on the pillows behind my knees because he is the prince and he can do that. I told her "look at my legs" and I lifted up my right leg so she could see him and then he put his chin on my leg and everything stopped and he eventually fell asleep using me as his pillow self affirmation, y'all. https://i.imgur.com/GLg4AYl.jpg

That meant that Lando got big romps- we went for a long walk in the woods that we normally do on weekends, or nearly every morning when the sun rises at 545 am. At the halfway point we encountered a fountain that Lando has to investigate:  He is absolutely CONVINCED that a squirrel or some other creature lives in there. Every time we go by it, he sniffs like crazy and barks at the fountain. Good boy, Lando! The pic I posted earlier was from our second big walk of the day late this afternoon. That was a different part of the same woods we took our big morning walk in(Rock Creek Park for you DC-area gippers). If we strung the two routes together, it’d be an 8-mile round trip.   Afterward my girlfriend played tug with him and took some great pics of him mugging for the camera with his tug rope. The good boy was thoroughly tuckered out after a day of walks and play, so he hopped up on the couch and we tucked him in with his blankets.  He’s a very snuggled up and happy boy right now. We threw the ball for him repeatedly in our apartment. He was overjoyed, as I’m sure our downstairs neighbor was. Snuggly boy took his ball to bed later on.

When his ears are perked up, you really see a lot more of the GSD.  I’ve also met some purebred labs who have his kind of stubby ears. Some days, Lando looks like a total Lab; others, his other breeds pop out. Goober Peas posted:Lando's head is a bit more triangular than a full lab's is. Oh he sure does. Visited my folks out of state and stayed in the guest room. Luna is basically my shadow while I visit and sleeps at my feet when I stay over. She sometimes brings her bone to gnaw on while she does sentry duty.
