A long time ago, SA had a video on Flash Tub or its precursor that contained a song by a techno/electronic band that sounded like a remix of circus music. The SA video had some clown faces at the end (or the whole video, I don't remember exactly). I'm trying to find the song. Any help is appreciated.

Was it from this?

someone please help. i don't even know if it's the official music video but it's a dance track that i'm sure was quite well known and the video was these old dudes dancing roller skates i think at a venice beach. maybe the word 'star' is either in the name of the band or the track. sorry for the extreme vagueness but i thought something this esoteric would have been quite easily google-able but nah.

There's an old Diet Coke commercial with a bunch of people dancing on roller skates; they're young, but it's shot at a beach and set to the tune of Paul Oakenfold's "Starry Eyed Surprise":

valiant attempts but no, sadly. honestly this thing is so loving esoteric that if it can't be googled with that sort of information it doesn't exist and i must have dreamed it or whatever.

Alright I'm looking for a Reggie Watts song where he ran the video through a bunch of reverb(?) visualizers which created an echo effect. It was in black and white. I wish I could give more than that but it's all I remember.

That's not it, but that is a catchy little ditty.

The song I'm thinking of sounds like remixed circus music.

Trying to think of an ambient house song where a sampled womans voice says "mother earth" throughout the track. Her voice is slightly deep and slightly British accented. This would be like, very early 90s stuff like The Orb, KLF, Biosphere, etc.

Mother earth.

edit: It's "Gravity" by Ultramarine

Can't remember the song but it was a Radiohead video which followed a boy from childhood through old age with an emphasis on him meeting his wife and his wife and kid getting killed in a bus accident.

Girlfriend loved it but I can't remember the song/video because we were both drunk and high.

This one is bugging me: I was getting my hair cut and a song came on the mix (I assume Spotify or Pandora) they had streaming through the speakers. It was a woman singer with a slightly raspy voice, singing about how the "sky is (alive?)" which seemed to be the chorus that repeated multiple times, and there was a lyric about the "sun and the moon falling down". It was somewhat upbeat, but not a dance song by any means.

We need more women in STEM, and by that, I mean skateboarding, television, esports, and magic.
There was a country-ish song that's probably from somewhere between 2003 and 2012 that was about a guy and his dad, and I think the guy is coming home (from war? idk) and the singer was a '90s boy band member?

It's driving me crazy that I can't think of it, and I am not proud to be asking about this, but I can only read so many more "TWELVE AMAZING SONGS ABOUT OUR FALLEN HEROES" listicles without jumping off a bridge.

I am almost certain that Radiohead don't have an official music video like that. Source: they were my favourite band for years and I've seen tons of stuff by and about them

Could it have been notorious Radiohead ripoff band Coldplay's video where the girl takes off her jacket and gets killed in an accident? I don't remember if it shows old age and boyhood but it is a narrative told in reverse so it might.

I'm looking for a song that I heard on SomaFM's "Drone Zone" station. It was some kind of ambient, possibly piano piece, called something like "Geometry of Night" or "Arithmetic of Shadow". I remember the first word was mathy, and I think the second one had to do with darkness. I thought it might have been something by Steve Roach, but I looked through all his tracks in Discogs and none clicked. Any ideas? SomaFM used to log all their played tracks on Twitter, but the Drone Zone twitter stopped updating in August.

e: Harold Budd - Algebra of Darkness

I've been wondering for years where the song that plays right from the beginning of this old Freelance Astronauts video to 4:05 is from. Knowing them, it's probably some obscure remix of a more well-known track out of an 8-bit-era game.

Any ideas?

Also, the video I linked is a relatively recent reupload. The original one might actually predate any La-Mulana release.

It's kind of drawing on European music from the 14-16th Century, when polyphony was starting to become the rage. That tends to be a soaring melody without harmony/accompaniment, at least in sacred music.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3v9unphfi0

The style and sound is also somewhat 'far North European'; it could be kind of Gaelic/Scandinavian.

trying to identify this song that i've had a fragment from stuck in my head. the part i remember is a lyric that is like 'in the forest, no more, no more'. I almost feel like it should be a black metal song but i don't think it is because i don't think i would remember the lyric then. it could be neofolk or something like that maybe.

This is a super famous late 90s / early 00s dance track that I cannot remember the name of, only the main riff; which I recorded here: https://instaud.io/3dzP

I'll definitely kick myself once someone posts the answer but it's been in my head for days and I have no idea what the track is called!

Edit: it's Resurrection by PPK.
