Otherwise you're just making mud bricks or, at best, very, very low-quality cement. I'm 99.9% certain Musky read a report about companies competing to remove Crossrail's tailings for brickmaking and used his giant brain to completely ignore boring things like geology and basic materials science, to say "Hmm, tunnel... make bricks... housing problem solved, Musk you're a genius!".
