I'll give the fox card credit for its production values, but yeah that's the worst boxing commentary team I've heard in quite some time.

Disagree because they questioned the judges. FOX analysts typically would not. Atlas and Kellerman would've been ideal but they still brought out a pretty good crew.

The free fight was fun even with its major faults.

An amazing fight in Mexico just ended on a bullshit draw on Azteca and for comparison all the commentators are calling it a robbery, a farce, a disrespect to boxers putting their lives on the line, boxing is worth nothing if judges like this preside over the sport ect and Julio César Chávez was literally yelling at them that the judges were rats and pigs and what they did was crap.

One other thing I've gotta give the card credit for was putting three competitive fights on TV.

Both Charlos got exposed and could have taken Ls on Saturday.

Yeah i think both of them need to rematch their respective opponents now. I was interested to see Jermall against Canelo but I'm no longer sure it would even be competitive.

I didn't watch them but what I heard is that the smaller Charlo got robbed, while the bigger one had a pretty dicey fight that he won, but could have gone the other way.

I had been thinking that Korobov was a weird choice as a late replacement. He was a big amateur prospect who beat Usyk back in the day and his lone loss was a weird one against Andy Lee.

In fairness to the twins Korobov was probably always going to be tougher than the average late replacement in addition to just the challenge of switching opponents midweek but watching Jermell lose like that right before his fight clearly messed with Jermall's head . He was visibly shaken.

So anyone know if the Floyd clown fight is gonna be televised?

Oozing machismo
Supposedly it will be on FITE but Rizin has yet to actually announce anything about broadcast in Japan or the rest of the world.

The official RIZIN account on reddit says they'll announce it in the next few days, which is cutting it just a tiny bit short.

Are there odds on Tenshin just going all gently caress it and coming out throwing head kicks at Floyd?

You know what though, I don't care. I wouldn't care if they were wearing those giant novelty boxing gloves and fighting in a bouncy castle, I'd still be hype as gently caress for a Floyd Mayweather fight on new years eve.

I'm aware but even if there wont be an official result a grey market or overseas sportsbook has to have some crazy prop bets available for degenerate gamblers like me.

There will be an actual good card on New Year's Eve with Masayuki Ito, Ken Shiro and Takuma Inoue, try to check that out instead.

They could try to get Floyd to leave the ring in protest and declare "victory" like when Takada had that match against Trevor Berbick

Trevor Berbick's wikipedia entry posted:

In 1991, he traveled to the UWFi promotion in Japan to fight Nobuhiko Takada in a "boxer vs. wrestler" bout. Berbick claimed that he had been double-crossed and that he had expected the fight to be like American kickboxing, but it turned out that the rules allowed Takada to kick Berbick below the belt. Berbick refused to mount any offense, instead repeatedly complaining to the referee as Takada kicked him repeatedly in the legs. Takada claimed victory by default when Berbick exited the ring.

You think a guy like Tenshin doesn't have a massive security detail of his own? It's his country and his home arena, and Japan doesn't gently caress around.

Yeah I'm 50/50 on something catastrophic will happen because both parties wanted it to from the start or this is will end up being a respectable exhibition because all they wanted was a little money/publicity out of it.
