Are you not aware of the Goonrathi declaration of war against this guys org and the ensuing peace treaty?  I forget what goons were involved but we did what we do best and pretended to take him completely seriously and drew up a peas treaty, had negotiations, and everything.

But like others said, it's extremely hard to grief people playing a game that naturally griefs it's players.

Hell, there's some arguments/theories that a good chunk of Star Citizen's true believers are people who couldn't hack it in EVE and blame goons, or otherwise have PTSD from being griefed in other sandbox games.

If the game comes out there will be real life suicides when goons crash 100s of tiny worthless little ships into their 30,000 dollar whaleboats. They're so invested in this game that they'll lose their minds at goons for "ruining" it

I'd say Star Citizen is obviously going for the most generic sci-fi aesthetic possible to maximise crossover appeal, but I'm giving them far too much credit aren't I? And goons are already trolling in Star Citizen from day one, only the foolish believe the idea ends with the mere game.

It doesn't look generic because of Chris Roberts grand vision, it looks generic because they stole the designs from a variety of other scifi mediums. one of their "salvaging" ships is copied straight from EVE online

Basically the only reasons AAA games like GTAV had budgets in the same category as SC is a combination of marketing and licensing a bunch of stuff for the in-game radio stations.
