How did Mr. Wilman know we were going 500 miles when Hammond only just thought of it?

I wonder if old Top Gear would have taken the opportunity to include a certain song by famously Scottish musicians The Proclaimers or if it would have been too obvious.

Speaking of, it was really weird to suddenly hear a bunch of licensed music* throughout the Colombia special.

*i.e. apparently a compilation of Colombian covers of 60s songs but it counts

It was essentially a design study for the Lancia Stratos that followed shortly after. Both cars are cool.

Anybody else get really bored with the tuktuk TG episode? I started watching YouTube, it just didn't hold my attention.

Why don't they include Rory in these awful adventures?

I quite literally forgot the new season existed after watching the first episode last week. Whoops.

I thought this week's Top Gear was pretty entertaining.

At the very least, Joey deliberately pushing the Tuk Tuk down the hill was a hell of a lot funnier than Hammond rolling his three-wheeler while doing the hill climb.

I'm fine with Rory doing his own thing if that means we still get the Mad Queen of Nürburg appearing on the show.

I really liked how sketchy it felt. Sharing the lane driving side by side, smashing into each other, bumping each other off the road. Didn't feel like they were in a bubble at all.

I suppose they didn't have trouble finding an RV park in Arizona. Every single place around Phoenix except for a few are 55+, as in no one younger than 55 allowed. I went to the Grand Canyon with my dad and my nephew. We had to drive down to Phoenix to pick up my sister, and we ended up having to drive an hour back out of Phoenix to some lake to find a place that would let us stay there. Wasn't too bad though, they had nice showers.

There's nothing in the X-Ray about it actually being him but it wouldn't surprise me, they're in the US so they wouldn't have to ship him around the world for it. And he technically did get his revenge if you watch til the end of the show.

This episode was probably the best of the season so far. The fact that everyone seems to be genuinely enjoying themselves helps, it's a nice break to see them go from "I hate thing... Actually thing is quite fun".

If season 4 delivers the same quality as this episode I'd be super happy.

My knowledge of RV's tells me that they are mostly ridiculously expensive, under-engineered shitheaps that make an 80's Italian car look like a 90's Toyota from a reliability standpoint. I imagine working on one and start to get nauseous. Seeing six of them destroyed made me very happy. Except for Hammond's because it was just a poor delivery truck that didn't do any harm to anybody :saddowns:
