The early bits of Undertale don't do it any favours, it picks up at the end of Snowdin but yeah that is pretty much the whole game, befriending weird monsters and not killing everything, unless you want to of course.

I would also recommend significantly lowering your expectations for Undertale. It's a charming, unique game but the unreal snowball of hype that surrounded it did it no favors.

Yes he really should, but I can live with the fact he's clearly being held back until Hyrule Warriors 2 where he'll be the second lead character behind Link. Yuga being in also completes the trifecta of wacky bad guys next to Girahim and Zant.

Alternatively if you're just running from all the fights, maybe Undertale isn't for you because half the charm of the game is dealing with the monsters. I mean it's obviously an option you can do but. eh

I'd agree that finishing Snowdin (there's a boss so it's obvious) is a good final "do I care for this game or not" marker. It gets harder and the story and characters are introduced/develop more, but if you don't care up to then you won't care either

Couple of Okami questions this morning, guess this is the best thread for it - Should I already have known who this Tao Master Waka guy is? I mean I like him but Ammy clearly doesn't - Use Gold Dust immediately or wait for upgrades? - When do I (presumably) get access to fast travel? A larger time frame for people to give you money is a good thing for the company selling the product, even (especially!) if you're providing no benefit to the consumer in return. My girls aren't allowed to watch YouTube unless I'm sitting right there next to them, and it's horrifying how bad it is even with the content that's not objectionable. Just tons of grown women playing alone with dolls or dads wearing GoPros chasing their kids around and badgering them to open presents and play with toys that were provided by the company. "Oh HAYLEY, look what our friends at MATTEL HAVE SENT US TODAY!" But then you talk to other parents and they have similar horror stories, but no two families seem to watch the same things. The algorhythm feeds everyone different trash based off prior views. YouTube: Everyone stares into their own abyss.

Which are pretty ok, no profanity and generally friendly, but Christ DGR's overacting on each Mario Maker death is so annoying and I swear half the time he's dying on purpose to really telegraphed traps.

A hellscape of kind of creepy upper-middle class parents shilling products and procedurally generated nonsense videos targeted at kids is what they are actively trying to create. I've thankfully never had YouTube just automatically start playing a new video after one finishes like I've seen other people describe (mobile only thing?), so I can just adblock the panel of recommended videos.
