Can anyone give me recommendations for good psychedelic rock or psychedelic jazz from the 60's and 70's?

If you're looking for kiiiinda similar outish-jazz-but-with-drums/back beat then there's stuff like:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sJVtvykaI4
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVOJfbMowmE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PppJOrnVtkg

For moody-loops stuff, there's a lot of lesser-known rhodes and private press LPs floating around:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__3GSfa3vV0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5_oy2bFZTM

also every Howard Hanger LP has a sampleable moment and those are all pretty unknown outside of digger nerds.

Dusty fingers / MPC fodder jazz poo poo is a long worn genre.

Going to LA soon. Any shops I should check out besides Amoeba?

Definitely check out Amoeba if you've never been. Seeing all that vinyl under one roof is worth the experience alone. Don't expect to find any steals or deals, it's in a pretty touristy spot of Hollywood.

Just north of Amoeba on Cahuenga is The Record Parlor. They have a decent all around selection and an exhaustive collection of jazz. (Seriously, they sort artists by label.) You might not find exactlywhat you're looking for, but you will at least find something interesting to pick up. Again, don't expect any steals or deals. You're still in Hollywood.

If you have a car, try to hit up Atomic Records in Burbank. If you're in to crate digging, this is way more of an old school record shopping experience. Head straight to the back left corner for unsorted & ungraded new arrivals.

I can't vouch for the following as I've never been in person, but these spots were recently recommended to me by a buddy who used to work at a record store:

Most recent Alchemist releases on vinyl have been a pretty limited run but this one says "RSD First" and has a total quantity of 2500 so it doesn't seem like it will be as hard to get as most of his recent work.
