i'm surprised at how the dragon cgi in that trailer looked pretty bad. i mean, it's obviously out of place because they're not real but it looked out of place and badly blended into the scenes

I didn't particularly like the "Tywin wants a Valyrian steel sword" nugget, it seemed out of character for him and simultaneously I had a hard time believing the richest most powerful house in Westeros couldn't get his hands on one or a few daggers and melt them down.

All this gratuitous nudity would probably have been very handy in the 90s before the internet. All it means to me now is like "well at least they have realistic bodies" and I have to respect that. They didn't bring in porn actresses to play the girls in the brothels. They just look like regular women.

Did Cercei really send a Lannister man to kill Tyrion while he was fighting off the Stannis attack or was this just another of those misunderstandings that drive these plots? I was sad to see "the tickler" get killed off so quickly. He looks like and shares a lot of mannerisms with a relative of mine so I grew kind of fond of him.

I think in the show Joffrey sends the goon to kill Tyrion during Blackwater, same with killing the rest of Robert's bastards, that's on him too. In the books Cersei's behind both plots.

I'd have thought he'd just stand on the battlements screaming 'KILL HIM SER MANDON! KILL HIM NOW!' Also I've hit the mid-point of season 4 in my rewatch. I forgot that this is the point at which a good 50% of the show is now fanfic/filler while entire plotlines are being skipped and compressed. Seriously did we need to have the taking of Meereen happen mostly off camera so early on and dedicate two subsequent episodes to the Legend of Gin Alley?

The actor choice for Ramsey was not even close to what I imagined. I imagined Ramsey as tall with sharp features. Not this round faced murderous Samwise Gamgee. But I admit it works Also Natalie Dormer's depiction of the smirking whore from Highgarden is done well. She got that smirk tuned to 11. Smirking her rear end off. I had almost forgotten the part where Tywin forces Tyrion to marry Sansa. Even though Tyrion has pretty much been her honourable protector the entire time while asking nothing in return. Her response is still "ew but he's so short and ugly. My life is literally over!" Sansa is an infuriatingly horrible person.
