So how much punishment did the Rurouni Kenshin guy get into for CP? Because if it isn't even half as sevre as Pierre is getting for a line of coke, then I don't even know what the gently caress to say other than Japan is really going out of its way to prove Judgement's plot point that maybe the Japanese Legal system is kind of loving nuts in how hard it's pressed to give out convictions and severe ones on poo poo like drugs.

Not so much how hosed the Japanese Legal system is as it is the public perception. Stupid as it is, being a drug addict is seen as worse than having CP material. For Japan, there's a lot of desire to "Hush hush" the negative, for example, there's a law against speaking negatively about a person, whether truthful or not. So if you were to run around going "The Author of Rurouni Kenshin had Child Pornography." You could be sued for a chunk of change or imprisoned. They have an absurd 0 tolerance on drugs as a culture, so you become unpersoned.To the point they may redub all previous work he's ever been in to erase his presence.

Yeah I enjoyed a lot of Kaoru's scenes, the one with her and Kiryu on the roof in Sotenbori was really good. But them just going "man we really failed haruka huh?" and making out while date and haruka fly away is bonkers. like i get they're both deeply lonely people who have found something in each other they've never had before, c'mon Kiryu. i was laughing when the bomb counts down and it went straight to credits These stories definitely kind of lose something when they become break away from being about broken people trying to find their place in the world and more about organizational hierarchy and control of power. I was kinda checking my phone a good bit in those last twenty minutes, and probably couldn't tell you what the Real Story was there, but Ryuji putting his hand on Kaoru's as the elevator goes down is good, even if its cheesy as hell but whatever it's yakuza. i'll always like yakuza

Everytime I see people discovering Tiger Drop I get sad thinking it's really this busted in Kiwami only. It's not bad elsewhere but it does pityful damage in comparison, its barely stronger than a finisher in the ps3 games and really hard to pull off in the dragon engine imo

Y4 was also the game where a significant plot point resolved around Akiyama keeping Literally 100 Billion Yen in an unlocked room in his office in a crime-ridden part of Tokyo because he didn't like banks

for reference, taki's character seems to be a major player in the game, being both the suspect in your first real case, and the captain of your partner when he was in the yakuza and there's still animosity between them, with taki's character asking you to pass on a sort of threat to him so taking out Traces of Taki is Tricky

I've grown tired of waiting for remaster announcements and tracked down a PS3 copy of Yakuza 3 to continue my trip through these wonderful punch games Not really missing the cut content so far, to be honest, even though they practically left bleeding stumps all over the place in the form of conspicuously functionless buildings and areas. They still called Kazama Fuma in this translation, still haven't got used to that.
