Op8 is the top. Enemies continue to level, but many class abilities don't scale appropriately so lots of classes can start getting railroaded to particular build or require specific gear for some builds to remain functional. Additionally, the difference between gear of 2 different levels becomes more substantial. I've only got two 52s though, so what I've parroted might be up for debate. A lot of resources are harder to find as the Gearbox forums were apparently changed since the launch and there were some big changes in some patches that came later. Subsequently, there's a lot of out of date info that's more readily available.

I took a Kreig up to OP1, maybe OP2, before I quit playing a yearish ago. Digistruct Peak is bananas, but it was weird going back to the L50 raid bosses and laughing off the attacks as you murdered them in cold blood.

While you’re not wrong, I found it hilarious that on starting a new play through last night, the VERY FIRST BOSS (Knuckledragger) dropped a legendary (Dahl Hornet) for me. I’m still using that sucker at level 8, because the rest of the drops have been woeful. No loot table editing in effect (because they don’t even work until you beat Flynt and get to the next area).

The first time I played through BL2 after it came out I got Bewm Boom's legendary (Bonus Package, the double MIRV grenade), used it for what felt like forever, and it was my only legendary drop for the entire playthrough. It's a really great grenade mod, and I've never seen it drop since

I found Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode easier than the middle difficulty because it's so much easier to find level appropriate weapons when everything is scaled to your level.

I got that grenade mod on first playthrough as well, its a really good and funny legendary mod. Even if it can kill you dead close quarters a longbow one is so fun.

I got this on my first run too. It's pretty rad and I killed myself a bunch of times because you can clear a room and put yourself into fight for your life simultaneously. When I learned about the fastball though, I went farming.

I was doing the "Ghosts of the Vault" quest for Tannis and when I killed the big one of the three guardians it dropped a crazy 228 damage Detonating Cobra legendary sniper rifle. This thing killed Mad Mel in his vehicle in 4 shots, all the other vehicles in that fight in 1 shot each and killed Mothrakk in 4 shots during "Like A Moth To Flame".  I'm guessing it's going to be one of those weapons that stick around for 10 levels or so.

I'm having pretty good luck with legendaries in my recent BL2 playthrough, gotten 6 already and I'm about halfway through. Just about to do the wildlife preserve mission. If I ever get bored of the current weapons I have and nothing particularly cool has dropped, can always go and use a golden key as well. Got hundreds of them at this point.

I am having more fun with my maya after stacking insane levels of life regen. Wen I die is because I was trying to rez somebody in a bad spot. I am not having much luck with drops ( everything is white or green ) but getting a long mileage from what I got. One of my shotguns feel like get more accurate the more I shot. Is nice to have a snipershotgun.

I started a new BL2 as Maya when the HD textures were released, I had forgotten by lvl17 how lovely the drops were so I booted up cheatengine and gibbed to fill my inventory with legendary/purple gear. It got too easy so then spoofed the game to increase the number of enemies for 4 player coop even though I'm soloing.

What exactly is Cheat Engine / How does it work? I [obviously] never used it way back when these games first came out. Like can you just give yourself specific legendaries, or does it just give you a random item of the specified rarity, or do you just put the stats you want on something in your inventory already? At work so I can't just download it and try for myself...
