I don't know which grenades are worth using so I always equip the ones that spilt into child grenades that also split into even more child grenades. I basically die whenever I throw them.

It's especially great if you take Axton's skill to throw grenades during fight for your life. It's also  to throw one at a bandit technical that is about to run you over.

I prefer the grenades that leave an AoE on the ground for a few seconds, and attempt to use ones that the most repeated enemy in an area is weak against. None of the three games drop enough for that consistently, but it's what I strive for. Also a few nights ago my buddy came across a gun that shot confetti.

Quasar / Stormfront / fastball / magic missle are the best grenades. I normally use quasars exclusively, unless I spec into  in which case bonus package all the way.
