I tried PSNow for the first time last night. I have a pretty good WiFi connection and this was late at night. Seems... alright. I tried WWE 2K18 and Rage for PS3. The latency seemed way more noticeable on Rage. I definitely wouldn't want this to be how I play games in the future though.

Figured this would be the best place to ask, but has anyone had any experience with contacting Sony in regards to expired codes? I just got a new copy of The Sly Cooper Collection on the Vita, and the 3rd game is included as a code rather than on cartridge. The code expired almost 3 years ago though. If I contact Sony would they offer me a new code, or am I poo poo out of luck?

Kratos grinding that woman into paste is terrible but he also is pretty singlehandedly ended the world and killed like a million people in cold blood, and even though that scene made me cringe at the time he’s literally totally insane with rage by game 3. To me the pinnacle of “Needlessly Mean, Edgelord Violence” was Journey to the West or whatever, when there’s an innocent guy dangling from a cliff and Monkey just kicks him off for no reason. Never have I been so immediately alienated from a character, gently caress that game.

Yeah, if you want to have both a realistic art style and portrayals of violent and disturbing things you don't have a lot of options. So long as you just use the crime scene photos as reference and don't literally insert them into your game like the Brutal Doom guy did once.

I also don’t have a morale roadblock for murdering a traveling band of rape-bandits, which TLoU always go out of their way to establish. Extreme hyper-violence in games is something I can enjoy. There isn’t really room in my gaming appetites for creepy anime games about teaching school girls the right way to fold my laundry or whatever.

In most cases I agree, but it works in Borderlands for some reason. “STOP SHOOTING I SURRENDER  ” followed by a hail of bullets is way more silly than unnerving thanks to the goofy delivery.

The most mean-spirited and cynical game I've ever played is GTAV. I liked some of the missions and it's a monumental achievement technically but it has such a rotten core. It's kinda interesting that there's games out there like it. I hate cynicism.
