I remember about a decade ago being mad enough at sirius for calling me a thousand times to renew that I went to my car, put the phone on speaker, ripped out the sirius unit (lovely suction cup mount), and smashed the goddamn radio to bits behind the shop I worked at, while the soliciting gently caress on the other end got to listen. I wish the sirius receiver in my car wasn't built into the head unit, I could always go for another round.

Sirius certainly does have ads, just venture out of the music channels. I used to listen to sirius left, it was literally half ads. The only good thing about it, to me, was having npr come in clear pretty much anywhere, because the South is a miserable place.
