Saying we have lost 7 out of 9 is too simplistic. 2 of them games were vs Barcelona where we were expected to lose. So lets say we have lost 5 out of 7.

We also lost to City who we were expected to lose against as they are the best team in the league.

So lets now say we have lost 4 out of 6.

1 loss was against Arsenal who are on a similar level to us arguably slightly better so it could have went either way.

2 losses were against Wolves however this season Wolves have drawn against City, Arsenal, Chelsea, United under Mourinho.

They have also beaten Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal. So they are a very good team and beating us doesn’t suggest that we are poor.

It suggest more that Wolves are quality and have beaten all the big clubs bar City.

The only loss that is a big shock is the game vs Everton.

So all in all I am not too worried, even if we lose to Chelsea as they are arguably a better side than us.

In the grand scheme of things it shows that we need major upgrades in quality of players. At least losing all them games shows Ed and the owers that we need investment.

If we won half of them games or more then it would paint over the cracks and lead to less investment in the squad. This just proves we just aren’t that good.

Vela’s first season with LAFC—no, Los Angeles FC are not the Galaxy; no, they are not Chivas USA either (well, not exactly); yes, LAFC are a brand new team that was birthed from some wallet last season; yes, I know it’s hard to keep up with the ever-expanding list of MLS franchises, which seem to be spawning like Gremlins—was a somewhat measured success. In 29 appearances, Vela racked up 14 goals and 11 assists, and led LAFC to the playoffs, where they lost in the first round. Pretty strong individual stats from Vela, and a respectable league finish for a team in its inaugural season, but maybe not quite what you’d hope for from literally the most talented player in the league.

You missed the best loving part:

quote:

By any statistical measure or presumable eye test (“presumable” because I haven’t watched a minute of MLS this season so I’ve not had the chance to subject his performances to my own visual examination), Vela has dominated MLS so far this season on a level on par to how the world’s best players dominate their leagues.

He did a thousand-word analysis of a player he hasn't watched one second of this year, and that guy has played nine full games already.

Thanks for the feedback, most of which was rubbish. Messi is the Kim Kardashian of football. She reckons she has a nice body so dedicates her life to publishing photos of herself. Well done. Messi has a velvet touch and is a top scurrier so spends his career scoring the same goal 500 times. Throw in a few freekicks in perfect laboratory conditions and lo, you're the greatest player who ever lived. Grow a beard and paint on some tattoos to grab the street vote. Players who went their whole career without getting a booking will adore you.
Which is an annoying way of saying Messi is obviously excellent at what he does but there are lots of others I prefer watching.
