I lived there for 3 years within the past 10 years, he went to AIT at FT Gordon in 1969 and keeps claiming things in the South are A-OK since Alabama has black people on campus now. He also got pissed when I told him that his opinion on the Army doesn't matter since he retired in 2004 and isn't in anymore. He yelled "I'm retired military, I'm absolutely still part of the organization." Like, let it go.

I lived in Utah when they used the firing squad in the 90s. The only people who were opposed to that method were the ones opposed to capital punishment in general. I don't think you'll find too many pro-death penalty folks who get squeamish about the firing squad. Maybe the chair, if they're actually familiar with it.
