Also I dunno if they really have supplies to give out but wouldn't cartograper's make sense for more like, tourism-y type of things? Or is that just not an area they would ever deal in?

I'm not sure if the thought occurred to the Cartographers, but it wouldn't hurt to have one at the Lookout if anyone can be spared. If not, I trust Jarlis' judgment.

That said, we would need to sell this idea to a market on Sa, or other worlds to come to visit. It will require getting the approval for the Senate and the Lookout Dwellers for outsiders to visit, on account of Channelwood being their world. If both the Senate and Lookout sign off, I believe it will come to the Traders to find that market. The Senate and Lookout will receive compensation for housing tourists. Said tourists would have instructions on where they can and cannot go, what they can or cannot do, and an insistence not to tamper with the Windmill. They'd bring back news of Channelwood to Sa, including the Windmill. Everyone would profit from this arrangement.

And just in case the Senate may not approve in case terms are too favorable to the Lookout, I have a supplementary trade offer in mind for the Oasis. An exclusive trade deal where the Traders would buy goods - not just water - from the Oasis and sell to the market on Sa. My thinking is that with the parade you're planning and fame you wield, there's bound to be a market for Dweller goods.

I tried floating the idea of vacation real estate and it did not went well because well... this was just after Chell's trial. But this is one I think they would be amendable to and I think the reds would be happy to have their own deal going.

Also I (tentatively) recently passed this, https://docs.google.com/document/d/1UtuCkeIjCJDiY2beiCC_4GEhqCfbG0knCOa2NXdXGe4/edit?usp=sharing putting me in charge of a sorta of nature protection initiative, so there is already some groundwork you can take of advantage of here hopefully and authority from me you can back your idea up with (though right now my authority isn't solid, the deal has passed but it requires the windmill being built at some point.)

I've read it through and we'll probably need to confer with Dweller populace on-site for possible do's and don't's for visitors. But if the original deal could still work, I'm keen to pick up the torch. So to speak.

Komp, all of the Inventors, this is Aosa checking in. I didn’t get a good look at the person who stole the envoys notes, but I saw the act go down. Can confirm someone is going out of the way to intentionally sabotage our envoys. We already figured that this was the case but knowing for certain is a good thing to have.

I trust Aosa's assessment on this. It had to have happened today. I do wish we could've caught him, but it seemed the spy gave the Inventors the slip.

I half wonder if the envoy in question can give a description of their assailant. It would help us in giving a name to who's sabotaging the Inventors, and I suspect every other Guild.

I'm not sure what will be needed, but I can head to the docks and show anyone the way inside after we've opened the path.

For all of you coming to Myst for the first time and heading to the same place, read everything carefully before doing anything. There is a method and with so many people here we can almost certainly accomplish what we need to, but only if we worth together.

I've written instructions best I can, but if you have questions: ask them before acting.

Also, again, I remember Conrad having what appeared to be an older model of a communicator I think? If that is true, could someone check to see if there is a leftover fancy model communicator at the trader's guild... I want to see if there is someway we can confirm if the Strand message was already on this model and the signal that went out initially just told it to play. I am not really a tech person though so I am not exactly sure how one would go about comparing the data between the two... but uh, it seems worth a shot?

We would need to like, make sure we don't turn on the leftover though and that it doesn't receive any outside signals.

Alright, I've done a reassessment of my timetable, and if Pitzae and Jarlis are both going to be in the Lookout, I might have a way to make it there in one day. My original estimation did not account for travel to go faster. I have to wonder if the Cartographers have anything to do with this sudden burst of speed, or if the communicators may have something to contribute to that. I have something saved in case I needed to be in a location in a small amount of time.

To reiterate: I will be in the Lookout and get work done in one day. Ancestors watch over me.

Vermilion Jarlis

Ah, so great to hear!

This one is very-much-so in support of your idea, Komp-Nikints. Beyond being a logical and suitable avenue for Channelwood to obtain these much-needed Mission Supplies for the Windmill's reconstruction, he also feels that the idea does not run afoul of any of the plans proposed by Leading Lady Lain's CLASP Commission Initiative.

This one will be at the Lookout tomorrow to help you with the Lookout's improvements however he can. Perhaps we could speak more with the local Dwellers there and then. Be mindful, though, this conversation will likely need to be moved to the Senate proper if it's to pass official muster, but doing good public works for the people of the Lookout will help us to build the rope-bridge moving forward - hopefully to a rebuilt and functional Windmill.

To the members of the Traders' Guild and the Inventors' Guild, thank you for all your help in these matters - they are of of utmost importance to the peace and unity between the peoples of Channelwood. Pitzae of clan Nenio also continues to be exceedingly helpful, just as Komp-Nikintz, Ciel of clan Nenio, Ms. Haqqu, and Aosa of clan Anca have already gone above an beyond the call of duty to get us all this far.

Thank you all. This one shall see you tomorrow, Komp-Nikintz of clan Ivo.

In other news: everyone that is able to do so, please go and see the parade tomorrow! This one is sorry he will be missing it.
