Anyone else unable to get the free Stories Untold on Epic Game Store? It just stops at the "Loading your order" page. I've tried restarting, quitting the launcher, not having other apps running etc

The whole zip file is only 8mb I'd run it now but strangely enough besides City of Heroes(the best free game loving ever), I am actually getting dug into Quake 2 again at the moment.

I keep reading about City of Blank being great but I tried it a few times and it never grabbed me. Is it because I didn't role-play? Did I just try at a bad time? I will never know

The current Epic Launcher Free Game is Rime (i don't know for how long but i vaguely remembered the game so was like "sure" and no one else has talked about it) It's actually an atmospherically great puzzler game except for the camera. hopefully the problem is that i'm playing it in 4K because jesus it's offensive how often "there's something in between the camera and the main character" makes everything garbage but it's free! but you know how "oh but the camera is bad" is kind of a gaming shibboleth? -- in my experience this camera is bad and it's important to mention that the game is good in spite of it stringless fucked around with this message at 09:36 on May 26, 2019 |

I played it a while ago on steam and thought it was reasonably boring, and the camera completely blows. I can't say I hated it, but I didn't like it enough to stick with it beyond the second chapter or whatever. For the price of free though that's not a bad deal.

Hey does anyone know how the free epic games benefits the creators? Is it just one lump sum they're getting, or does epic pay them on a per claimed game? Just wondering if I'm helping each creator by claiming the free game or not.
