There needs to be a radio station that plays all of John Carpenter's music. From all his movie soundtracks to his solo performances to the stuff he did as part of The Coupe De Villes.

Gost is great if you need some music to summon internet demons with.

Makeup and Vanity Set is also really good, especially the Brigador ost.

Vogel has a song called Night City, he gets it.

Noir Deco is really good but they don't seem to put anything out any more and I dunno if you can buy their stuff atm. defo nothing on Spotify.

And then also there's Health's stuff on the GTA online soundtrack which is great incidental music.

Carpenter Brut is the synthwave dude. He’s the Led Zeppelin of the genre.

I’m a big fan of Gunship. They’re a little less traditional and have more focus on vocals. “Dark All Day” is utterly fantastic and includes the saxophone guy from The Lost Boys.

Synthwave stuff is cool but to me, aside from a few recognizable standouts like Kavinsky and Johnny Jewel, a lot of it blends together.. it kinda seems like electro clash with a narrower focus on the era it seeks to evoke and I'd rather just listen to Samantha Fox or something lol.
I can think of punk bands that use electronic instruments like The Locust (synths) or Big Black (drum machine, it counts ok), or primarily electronic acts that make punk inspired music like Kap Bambino or Atari Teenage Riot. Stunt Rock rules but is kind of something else entirely. But I don't know of any specifically "cyberpunk" music and I'd like to if it exists

edit: ^^^^ This stuff is all great I love Front 242 especially, they and Nitzer Ebb are the closest to punk EBM style acts I can think of but the whole genre is still mainly drawn from electro, krautrock and house music and doesn't really have the punk sound or style to me

Yeah Big Black was way influential compared to how well known they seem to be now, Bad Penny was actually one of the specific songs I thought of when trying to think of punk music with an electronic element to it! Godflesh is also criminally overlooked, Justin Broadrick is incredible and a lot of his stuff fits a setting of advancement and decay so well. I was wracking my brain trying to remember a specific band that was more electronic sounding than Big Black but also kind of rockabilly and finally remembered Suicide

For some reason "cyberpunk" is permanently tied in my head to the 90s cyberpunk aesthetic where you've got future payphones and people with leather jackets, mohawks, and sunglasses jacking head cables into computers to hack. So that also means 90s techno to me.
