i thought breaking bad was good entertainment sopranos was mostly boring crap, the writers wanted to focus on the characters' personal lives because that's how you write prestige television but what the audience wanted was more mob antics; you can still have well-written characters and dramas while keeping your series exciting but the writers didn't understand that talking to people about mr robot you'd think it was amazing but it was just pretentious bullshit e: and dexter was just bad lol QuarkJets fucked around with this message at 02:15 on Jun 30, 2019 |

I have practically zero tolerance for terrible poo poo happening to kids in shows, and while I agree that, yeah, this specific instance is make believe, you unfortunately know that whatever you're seeing has, somewhere, somewhen, actually happened. "Family meeting" And holy poo poo, gently caress Walt for a lot of poo poo, but also how he actually doesn't give a gently caress about his kids, plus that time he kidnaps Holly

New Mexico is famous for its Hatch chili peppers which are sorely under represented after the first half of the first season. It's almost like the writers stopped caring at that point. That error was one I couldn't let go of and it followed me through the seasons, like a blight or cyst. That's why breaking bad never had the, shall we say, gravitas of Gravity Falls.

yeah I eat rear end posted:And I will never get why people call The Wire the best show ever. It's the safe internet answer, but beyond that I just don't get it. I gave it a chance, I really did, but it bored the gently caress out of me. When I said I could barely finish the first season, they said give the second season a shot that's when it starts to really get good. So I did, but it remained boring. I adamantly refuse to watch an entire show when people say you have to see the whole thing to appreciate it. Suffering through hours of boredom just to get to the good part is pointless when I could just watch a show that doesn't require a multi-season ramp period. Just sick to Transformers, it's not "boring".

my biggest complaint about The Wire is that there are dogs barking in the background all the time, and for some reason unlike most TV sound effect dogs my dogs always recognize this immediately as an actual dog possibly in the room somewhere who they need to tell to gently caress off

Fargo has a scene where they show a character is in a bathroom stall, and they show he get angry by him causing the toilet paper roll to squeak, like he's agitatedly pulling toilet paper too quickly so he can get out faster to yell. It's great A+ awesome show. Still gotta watch season 3 though.

Fun fact. I teach Chemistry. My name is actually Walter. And before they moved to Albuquerque, they were going to base the show in the city where I teach. They actually scouted my school for shooting locations. I met Bryan Cranston after a play in Los Angeles, and had a great discussion with him. Nice guy.

'Glorifying cops', as though it's bad to show them doing what they're actually supposed to do. Have you ever tried fixing your poo poo police rather than damning them? Not that the shows even go that far, because they're full of corruption and yadda yadda
