"Won't" is sort of funnier than "d'oh," but it's a structurally weird way to the end the scene, because it's essentially just repeating a joke you just heard. I think our minds hear "d'oh" because it makes more sense as a button to end a scene before a commercial break. I just realized it's kind of like how in Moonraker everyone remembers Jaws falling in love with a girl that had braces because that made more sense from a writing standpoint, but it turns out it was just a hot girl with normal teeth.
