nand and nor are different kinds of flash memory (used to store the firmware.) when you're doing the exploit you need to pick the right one for your ps3 or it will brick: in general, fats use nand and slims use nor

Well there's 5 fat models that are NAND and like five that are NOR, so it's not really worth saying that fats use NAND even in general. Just mentioning incase someone assumes their fat ps3 must be a NAND, flashes it with the wrong one and spends the next day reading arcane jargon posts on a forum discussing 'dumps'; asking to see 'dumps'; telling people straight if their 'dumps' are good; bad or not large enough, and knowing they 'dumped' bad and have to ask for help.

Yep with a homebrew app called Rebug Toolbox

Edit: multiman does it too

I know this isn't really a "hack" but I recently finished this Gameboy color "mod" and thought you guys might like to take a look see at it!

It was ridiculously easy. Only one solder wire and that's only needed if you want to be able to adjust brightness by holding select.

I also put an IPS screen in an OG GBA

Check out that black level and viewing angle!

No I wish I had that kind of skill. It's a replacement lens they sell at jelly belly customs. You kinda need it because the new lcd is slightly smaller than the original GBC one and it hides the empty space

It's called Freckle Shack, here is a link

https://bennvenn.myshopify.com/collections/aftermarket-lcds

He's sold out right now but they go back in stock pretty quickly.

Here's a really good install video but let me know if you need help or have questions

I did order the fixed ribbon cable but haven't gotten it yet. I'm gonna install it the second I get it though and I'd be more than happy to let you know if it fixes it 100%

Supposedly an IPS screen is being worked on, and possibly an oled

I'm actually holding off on modding my second GBC as a result

Lemme know if you need help. Best quality one is the new ips model from funnyplaying but modifying the shell is really difficult without destroying it compared to other screen mods. But retromodding sells shells pre cut for the ips screens

the older mod with non-ips screens ends up being the same price as the ips one anyway because you still need a special ribbon adapter and even a power regulator to make sure it gets as bright as possible

This is my non-ips one. Still looks pretty good imho

I picked that color scheme at random and was surprised by how much I ended up liking it
