I don’t think it’s for making the piece of art, it’d be for sending the actual photo alongside. Which, right, without the original image the joke is gone, but if it’s one of the Real Photographers out there working for a magazine/newspaper, of course they’re going to want attribution for the photo. Certainly moreso than a wrestler taking a weird selfie.

Ref Bryce mentioned in an interview last year that after he talked about how great Gage is on his podcast, Gage pulled him aside at the Philly Beyond show for "a private conversation" and proceeded to say "Heard you been saying nice stuff about me on your podcast. I appreciate that." Bryce on that podcast also said that in his experience, two things are consistently true in wrestling: High flyers are nuts and deathmatch guys are sweethearts

When Steen had his highspots show, almost everyone had a Roddy Strong impression and a Drake Younger impression, and everyone who had a Drake impression would gush about what a nice, helpful person he was. Drake's left like half his blood in Japan, too. Incidentally, the funny thing about the Roddy impressions is that the crappier they were the funnier they were, not unlike John Wayne or Elvis.
