I heard a song on google play music in the early 2010s that was either a direct cover of or used the melody of the cure's six different ways but it was done in a very modern style. I believe it didn't have any lyrics although I am not sure and it wasn't titled six different ways. It would be cool if I found it again.

When I was 8 or 9 I stumbled across this (in retrospect) pirate radio station that would play a continuous mix of EDM on friday and saturday nights. No announcer, no breaks in the music, just 4 straight hours of EDM. I'm pretty sure it was on the AM band.

I thought it was the coolest thing ever, and have fond memories of having friday night sleepovers and playing playstation while blasting this pirate EDM station that I had happened to find. It was extremely 90's and it ruled

Oh man, there have been and still are pirate radio stations all over the place. It's so easy to set one up that it's a wonder there aren't more.

If you go anywhere in the vicinity of New York City, the entire fm radio band is completely saturated with Jamaican reggaeton pirate radio stations. Last time I tried to listen to the radio in that area, it actually pretty much drowned out everything else, it kind of sucks.

Back in the early days of the internet, there was a story on a blog about 'hey did you see that girl with the giant head at the baseball game?'

Anyways, it was a clip of an MLB broadcast, shot towards home plate from center field. And off to the left, down the first base of the stands line there was a person with just a monstrously sized head sitting in the crowd. Didn't appear to be a special effect, the broadcasters didn't mention it, it wasn't a cardboard cut out because she was talking and moving. But just a freakishly big head. Not like Elephant Man misshapen either - looked like your average person just in a video game big head mode. It was unsettling in a 'huh that's really weird' sort of way.

I'm 95% confident it was a girl and 75% positive it was down the first base line.

Its a conan/medevil/fantasy style action movie.
It has a part where they hang someone upside down over a pit of stakes, and set fire to the rope.
The first dies, but the second gets free. Not sure if it was a test or a punishment.

The one that dies, it quickly cuts to them in the pit, and you see the stakes sticking out of their body.

Also when I was younger and UHF was still a thing (my fam didn’t get cable until way later), I could occasionally pull in this channel that aired music videos by request. The way it worked was, there was a continuous scroll of songs and each one had a 3-digit code. You’d call this 900 number and enter the code, and the video would air. Each video was probably like 99 cents or something. I think the channel might have even been called Jukebox.

This book might have been part of a series, but I'm not sure. Not sure if anyone has a clue on where to even start looking for such a thing.

This was published in 1977, so it very well could have still been on the shelves, especially in a school library, and was roughly the print format you describe.

Searching for the title and such online also brings back a lot of reviews along the lines of "I'd been looking for this for years," etc., so it seems like it made an impression. You can read the whole text on the Internet Archive, and there are plenty of single page scans to look at, as well.

I have three stupid whales that Google has so far been hopeless in finding. FWIW I was born in the early 90s in the UK.

1. A book I read in high school. I don't remember a lot of it, but the tone was really melancholy and at the end the main kid breaks into a (school? public leisure centre?) and tries to swim in the pool where he gets trapped under the pool cover and drowns. The ending shocked me and it's been burned into my brain ever since. It might have been set in Australia, and it may have had a bird on the cover, but I'm not sure.

2. A TV advert for 'Big Baby Pop'. This is the same product as 'Baby Bottle Pop' in North America, and it even had the same jingle but the lyrics were different. I distinctly remember it ordering kids to "lick the pop, stick it, shake it and suck it" and even as a kid I thought this was hilarious. My Canadian GF who grew up with the NA version totally doesn't believe me and I want to show her.

3. Another TV advert. I don't even think it's that old, but it was for Nesquik milkshakes or some poo poo. Anyway, the slogan was "when you see the rabbit, grab it!". We have pet rabbits so I say this to them all the time and I didn't realise this was weird until it turned out nobody else seems to remember it. I don't even know if it's real or some Mandela Effect bullshit so it would be good to find some evidence, but Google has even less on this than on #2.

In high school I played a 2d sidescroller flash game constantly. It was black and white and sorta based on the Matrix bullet time concept, shooting and dodging bullets and whatnot. It involved a lot of jumping and the characters didn't have arms, just hands that floated near their bodies. I don't think they had legs either. The main character may have worn a top hat?

I've been looking for a weird Sinbad movie that my family had on vhs when i was really young in the early nineties.

İn it, Sinbad and his shorter, fatter comic relief character go on 3 or 4 adventures. They're separated from their crew, captured and have to escape a palace (i think?), confront the Rok, get lost at sea in a tiny raft, and take down the cyclops! And then the film abruptly ends.

İ remember the thing with the Rok taking place in a desert and they think it's eggs are boulders at first. And when they're adrift in the raft it was the first time there's a bit of dialogue that ends the scene where the comic relief asks "why didn't you tell me?" And Sinbad says "you never asked".

During the cyclops fight the rest of the crew is there for some reason too, and they have to break out of a cage together.

The animation quality was really up and down, mostly down. İt might have come from Eastern Europe? İ say that because as an adult that's what the style of drawing and animation reminds me of. İ really want to find it again, it was my childhood favorite movie and i watched that tape endlessly. I'd love to see if it's anything like my memories.

Conan O'Brien used to have this ongoing gag where this clip would play of an old-ish bald man yelling either "YES!!!" or "NO!!!" or something over a techno beat. I used to watch a ton of Nickelodeon in the very early days, around 1985. They did a lot of PSA type stuff for kids and teens between shows. There was a series that would start with a question a kid might ask about growing up, then it would show regular kids hanging out in playgrounds giving their best answers. One was a boy asking “how do I get girls to like me?”. Then cut to different kids all saying stuff along the lines of “just be yourself”. The last kid they showed was an absolute goofball sitting on a wall surrounded by his friends. He had on an enormous pair of sunglasses shaped like lightning bolts. His answer to how to get girls to like you was “Steal their comb. It works.”
All his friends die laughing while he just sits there with this smartass look on his face. That response made more sense to eleven year old me than anything anyone else said. I wanted to be that kid. I have had no luck finding the clip. My memory has cast him looking like Dustin from Stranger Things with lightning bolt shades but I’m sure he looked nothing like that.

I couldn't find this but chances are it's on Youtube; it's just that no one has chopped it out to make it it's own video. There's hundreds of hours of early/mid 80s Nickelodeon ad breaks so it's sure to be in there somewhere.
