I feel like the cast of the two shows wouldn't mix too well. There's just a lot of people and clashing ways things are framed that you wouldn't have time for an actual plot. I think a hypothetical never-gonna-happen crossover between the two shows would be more fun if they swapped the casts between crew. AoS team does a Legends show in their style and vice-versa.

Do an adaptation of the comic where they find a "buried alien", who is a speedster and the fastest man alive. Except in this one he's also either a serial killer or a complete moron.

Liked the finale, even if they just seem to be filling their Clark Gregg quota. At least a Coulson LMD gets them closer to possibly having a better “in” to bring him back to the movie side if Feige ever plans to go that direction with Fury and company.

Also, it's pretty rich of someone from SHIELD to say, "it's not yours because you didn't develop it" when so much of their poo poo they stole from aliens themselves.

To me it just indicated his casual nature similar to when we saw Sarge shoot the Shrike zombie three times, then looked up and said "was that too much, it felt like overkill?" which is super Coulson and not Sarge at all.

Something I'm wondering is how much of this was planned with the monoliths because those have been around for a long rear end time with no explanation.
|
# ? Aug 4, 2019 21:20 |
I doubt they had everything planned out all the way back in season 2 when they introduced the monolith. Back then it was just some generic thing Shield had locked up on the carrier and which the inhumans immediately took Raina's word for as being a weapon meant to be used against them. AoS' writing team has always been very good at carrying elements of previous seasons forward into the next, and I wouldn't doubt that they'd feel confident enough to write in stuff without yet having a fully formed idea for how it fits together.

Hope Piper and Flint are ok. Again, letting the creature fly down your throat was BS. The CGI of Quake taking off Coulson’s skin was cool. Finally, as much as we all like Coulson, they should have left him off the show after S5. I wasn’t a big fan of Sarge and I’m already sick of the idea of a 3rd Coulson in 3 seasons. Is Gemma now an LMD? The new hair wasn’t great. This final season should jump through time a lot. But only after we get more Agent Carter.

Mack: We should consider the ramifications of- Daisy:

I know the show has a special effects budget, but at this point I find it hard to believe there's a story bible for what Daisy and Yo-Yo can do. Yo-Yo is supposed to be super fast, provided she returns to the same point she started. EXCEPT... they also have been playing really fast and loose with that rule; and it's been way more like normal super speed. Especially when she uses her speed to shoot the 3 shrike zombies in a split second. Ok, so heightened reflexes that probably outperform the gun she's using. (And maybe has to return to her point of origin?) Except... moments later she has a shrike flying down her throat, and doesn't even claw at it? With her super strength arms? Which also make no sense? And Daisy literally stopped a nuke this season, by putting it in a bubble; but doesn't think she can stop two dozen shrike possessed humans? Human existence is on the line, maybe take off the kid gloves? I'm ok with Daisy and Yo-Yo not being the answer to every problem, but they really, REALLY should be. Also, I've gone from mild indifference about Deke, to thinking he's great. The lemons in the background were a perfect touch.

Speedsters are always tricky though, Yoyo mentioned "not being ready" when the shrike surprised and got into whoever it was at the start of the season, so maybe she needs like a wind-up or time to prepare?

She needs prep time, otherwise her lungs collapse and then explode once she goes back to normal. Also she was lying for morale because Daisy had such a bad time first getting her powers that the last thing she needs to hear is someone talking about unforseen applications for their own powers.

She didn't even need her super speed to grab the bird. The robot hands were enough.

Tbh it doesn't really make any sense that most people would be unable to pull one of those bats out of their own mouth, they take like 5 seconds to crawl in. But all anyone ever does it paw ineffectually around their chin. Christ, just bite down.

And it's been established that Yo-Yo isn't the flash, she has to use her speed like you'd have to take a deep breath or some other physical action. I expected May to come back with some demon inside her but she had complete control of it because she's loving Melinda May. Killing them and throwing their stones out of the portal was almost as good. Izel's "the gently caress?" reaction to that was fantastic. Man, can Flint stay around? I want to see him completely gorge on tacos. I'm also really looking forward to 1930s adventures, though I wonder if this will be Marvel past were racism wasn't as big of a deal (The First Avengers showed both in film and in the battlefield the US army was integrated, something that didn't happen until after the war. yes there were some combat units of black soldiers in the real world but you clearly see guys of multiple races in the soldiers at the front and in Cap's movie there are black soldiers) or the real world where the early 30s was racist as gently caress. Though I'd like to see some weedy Klan guy try to push Mack around. Though is Fitz in the future or the past? Either the 2019 future or beyond that, or waiting for them in Prohibition NYC?

Questions: How long did Jemma and Fitz work on things before the rescue at the temple? Years? Where are Yo-yo and Flint? Why can't Jemma and Fitz know where the other is? Why are they time traveling like it ain't no thang after the lessons from being slung into the future and back? Lessons being: you can end entire timelines and also, you might end up with duplicate husbands. Why didn't Yo-yo break the handcuffs with her robot arms instead of waiting for Flint to chip away with a rock. What happened to the army of Daisy LMDs? Do you think they added in those last four minutes after finding out that they were getting a seventh season? How did Enoch overpower Isiah? Statements: Deke was right.

The Yoyo breaking the handcuffs on the pillar would most likely mean ripping Mack's arms off as they were hooked together.

I'm guessing it's something like the brain scan is a replica of their brains and thoughts when they were together, and in order to be unpredictable and stay ahead of the Chronicoms they would need to stay apart and NOT work together for once.
