I know the AR lower doesn't take much in the way of stresses, but I am still not convinced you can kludge a functional FCG into a pot metal (or worse, ABS plastic) lower and have it not fall apart very quickly.

Edit: then again, as long as it falls apart after you buy it, what do they care?

The scar lower is plastic so should be ok as long as the upper is real

They’ve sold plastic AR15 lowers for years. It’s not a super highly stressed part.

Y'all realize that not all plastic is created equally, right?

But fine, I will agree that, if any modern rifle can be made to function with an airsoft lower, it's an AR.

polymer lowers are a thing but they have a weak spot connecting to the buttstock unless its all one solid piece

Calvary arms was the big manufacturer, they got raided and shut down over improper stamping iirc

Pretty sure it was for selling to an out-of-state resident and some other stuff sprinkled in. Their CAV15 tooling is now owned by GWACS.

Edit: Yup.

Yeah that pedo 3D gun printer guy made a video of himself stress testing printed plastic receivers with non-serialized parts.

Think it cracked after a few hundred rounds but this was like 10 years ago and probably not the best design.

I'm sure the design was very mature for it's age.

It’s actually a very old design in a young body.

Also note that they make high end airsoft guns from aluminium. Not saying they were/are the ones used, but that they do in fact exist.

I'd also imagine that having a 416 is more of a status thing, or only has to shoot a mag or two type thing.

Bother.... I posted both those photos and I ended up having some not very bright person be connected to it.

Her: My company, Cellebrite, is a sponsor of the conference. ❤️

Me: Tip them off that "This area is for Crimes Against Children" should add a few words or they might get certain Anime convention goes crossing over on incorrect assumptions

Her: it’s a conference filled with law enforcement that daily fights child porn, child exploitation, sex trafficking and other horrific crimes against kids.

Me: I completely understand that. It's about phrasing and the fact that a ton of anime is practically child porn.

It's not even the only game with that premise. It's a ripoff of a Japanese game called Kancer or something.

Kantai Collection or Kancolle for short if you want to know more (you don’t). Trap sprung etc. but yeah, between the two of them you have your big titty battleships from all belligerents in World War II represented. I don’t get it either, I love me some giant robots but this poo poo is incomprehensible.

Kantai Collection is the worse of the two because the guy behind it is one of those dipshits who thinks the IJN "should have won" WW2 and that Azur Lane disrespects them somehow, but his tiddyboat game doesn't because [loud diarrhetic fart sounds]

Yeah, that was it. I discovered it a few years ago because I'm a naval historian who occasionally needs to search for pictures of ships and those searches kept turning up weird anime poo poo and I made the mistake of not ignoring that fact.

However, Shigetaka Kurita, director of Kadokawa Dwango corporation, criticized Azur Lane for lacking the sense of "tragedy and heroism" in Kantai Collection. Kurita described the game as "merely an idol action game with a fleet motif". He found the greatest appeal of Kantai Collection to be the "sorrow of the Imperial Japanese Navy" saying that one might cry while playing Kantai Collection but not Azur Lane.
